Indigo Wild’s Natural Zum Bar Goat’s Milk Soap & Zum Mist

Not surprisingly, this year I have been going through a lot of soap, especially bar soap. Between washing my hands constantly whenever I bring in the mail, bring in the groceries, or leave the house for any reason plus all the extra time I have spent working in my yard this year, soap disappears pretty fast in my house.

Zum Bars: Natural Goat’s Milk Soaps

Recently, I had a chance to try out new-to-me Indigo Wild’s Zum bar soaps. Zum Bars are all natural, handmade from goat’s milk and essential plant-based oils. Do you know the benefits of soap made with goat’s milk? Goat’s milk is naturally balanced, meaning it has almost the same pH as our skin. Plus it contains tons of nutrients that help nourish skin as well as keep it soft. In addition, Zum Bars are made with 100% food grade olive, coconut and castor oils that hydrate and smooth even super dry skin like mine.

Zum Bar soap creates a ton of luxurious creamy lather when I use it in the shower or at the sink. It’s perfect to use instead of shave cream because it’s so darn creamy! Nevertheless, it rinses clean without leaving my skin feeling dry. It is one of the cleanest cleans I think I have ever gotten from soap.

Zum Bars come in 32 scents, scented with essential oils. I have gotten to try just a few of them, but I like what I’ve tried. I received a trio of gender neutral scents: Cedar, Frankincense & Myrrh and Patchouli. All three are perfect for all-family use or for men as well as for women who, like me, gravitate toward spicy, bold scents.

Nevertheless, there are oodles of other scent families like lavender blends, citrus and citrus blends, mints, exotics like Dragon’s Blood, lemongrass etc. I am dying to try lime-basil, lemongrass and tangerine-orange soaps next. Check them all out on the witty and fun to visit Indigo Wild website.

Zum Bar Soaps are handcrafted from the same recipe that the founder, Emily, first created in her kitchen in 1996. And still today, the soaps are handmade and hand poured in Kansas City MO. Each wavy bar contains 3 ounces and is priced at $6.25.

With any purchase made on Indigo Wild through June 30, you can score a free Zum Bar Sliver Bag. I got one, and I really enjoyed it. Each little goat decorated paper Zum bag contains a bunch of soap slivers in different scents.

I didn’t count them, but I think there were about 6-8 of them. Each sliver lasted me about 3 showers. The only thing I wish is that there was a sliver scent list so I would have an idea of which was which so I could order the ones I liked best. Nevertheless, I have really enjoyed trying them out. Enter the code WFSLIVER at checkout for your free bag with purchase till June 30, 2020.

BTW, they even have bar soap for dogs! Why should humans have all the fun? And once you try these wonderful, natural, aromatherapy soaps, you’ll want to buy them by the pound for $19.95 🙂

Bar soap ingredients: Saponified 100% food grade olive, coconut, palm, and castor oils, in a goat’s milk base. Our unique blends may also include herbs, dragon’s blood resin, charcoal, natural almond fragrance, vanilla infusion, essential oils and mineral pigments. Frankincense & 3125 Zum products contain a trace amount of phthalate-free fragrance oil.

Zum Mist

I also received a spray bottle of new multitasking Zum Mist. I got the Patchouli-Ylang-Ylang scent that’s just perfect for me ‘coz I’m a real patchouli and ylang ylang fan. I use Zum Mist to spray my pillowcase at night as I find the scent very relaxing. I often spray it on after a shower as a body mist. You can use it as a room spray, for aromatherapy (it’s made from essential oils), to freshen anything that needs to smell better. The 4 ounce size is priced at $12 and comes in 10 scents including lavender combos, lemongrass, Sea Salt, Rosemary Mint, and citrus combos plus the patchouli that I got. The new Mini Mist 2 ounce bottle is priced at $7.50, and it also comes in Sea Salt and Frankincense & Myrrh. If you use the code above, you can get a free Zum Bar Sliver Bag when you order.

Other Cool Things from Zum

I noticed on the website and in their catalogue that Zum is a master brand for getting things clean naturally, both body and home, and smelling great at the same time. They also make home cleaning products like:

  • Zum Clean Laundry Soap (liquid soap in two sizes)
  • Zum Wash: a hand and body liquid soap made with organic ingredients
  • Zum Dryer Balls
  • Zum Granite Counter Cleaner
  • and more.

Zum also makes a line of bath and body products including:

  • Zum Body Shea Butter Lotion in bottle or tube
  • Zum Scrub Exfoliating Sea Salt Scrub
  • Zum Tub Relaxing Bath Salts
  • Zum Rub Ultimate Moisturizer.

And Zum has a line of baby care products that would make fabulous new baby gifts with both body and clothing cleaning products.

Zum makes a line of gift bagged and boxed products that are both fun and very cute that you need to check out on the website. The Mini 3 Bar Box and the Assorted Zum Bag of mini travel size products would make wonderful gifts or they are a great way to try out Zum products before buying a full size.

Lastly, Zum makes a line of bath, body and home products that they call 3125 Zum where all the products are scented with a combo scent of all the different essential oils and fragrance oils that are wafting through their factory. How creative is that!

If you’re a fan of aromatherapy as well as cruelty-free, natural, vegetarian, and gluten-free home and body products, I hope you’ll check out the zillions of offerings on the Indigo Wild website!

    1. Marcia, just for the heck of it, I checked to see if Indigo Wild/Zum had any unscented products, but they don’t! I guess the aromatherapy angle isn’t compatible with fragrance-free 😉
