InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Serum and Eye Gel

I love serums and I love the skincare products I tried from InstaNatural. I recently reviewed InstaNatural Age-Defying Skin Clearing Serum and Moroccan Rosewater here. So I jumped at the chance via Brandbacker, a brand/blogger association, to try a couple of the eye products in the Youth Express collection from InstaNatural. Who couldn’t use a little youth arriving in express mode?

InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Serum

The eye serum is housed in a dark brown apothecary bottle to protect the efficacy of the ingredients, and it is dispensed by a glass dropper. I have lots of these little bottles now, mostly all empty!

The serum itself is a “just thick enough” orange liqui-gel with a yummy subtle citrus scent. I wash my face, pat dry, apply a very small amount of the serum to my fingertip and pat under my eyes where my dark circles are. After it dries, I apply my eye cream or the InstaNatural Eye Gel.

The function of Youth Express Eye Serum is to restore the look of youth to eyes: diminishing dark circles, puffiness, wrinkles. I don’t have under eye puffiness, thankfully, and my wrinkles are not under my eyes. I do have dark circles, especially lately. I have only been using the serum for a week (due to time constraints of getting this review up), so at this point, I am not seeing any diminishment of my dark circles. However, I intend to continue using it for at least a month which is the usual time period I test a skincare product.

The ingredients in the InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Serum are quite impressive:

  • vitamin C
  • plant stem cells
  • astaxanthin
  • kojic acid
  • passion flower
  • caffeine
  • hyaluronic acid
  • niacinamide.

I don’t see why I couldn’t use this on my whole face! I see ingredients for brightening in the list, especially kojic acid and caffeine. So I’ll continue using it, and report back at a later date.

InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Serum is priced at $23.97 for 1 fl. oz./30 ml, and it is sold on the InstaNatural website where you can get more information and it’s also sold on Amazon. It’s made in the U.S. It’s also cruelty-free and displays the Leaping Bunny logo.

InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel

The eye area that I am most concerned about is the skin above my eyelids and under my brows that can be a bit droopy. Since the Eye Serum is specifically for the under eye area to brighten, I don’t want to use it above to tighten. Enter Youth Express Eye Gel.

I have mentioned seemingly a million times that I love gels for skincare. In fact, I often use an eye gel to tighten the skin above my eyelids. Youth Express Eye Gel is great for that purpose. Some time ago, my aesthetician recommended using an eye gel on my crow’s feet instead of a cream to prevent milia from forming. She suggested Thalgo Eye Gel, but at around $80, it wasn’t possible for me. Gee, am I glad I had a chance to try out InstaNatural’s Eye Gel at a much friendlier price!

InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel can also be used on the face, but so far I’m saving it for my eyes. It contains powerhouse ingredients including:

  • hyaluronic acid
  • plant stem cells
  • peptide complex
  • matrixyl 3000
  • amino acid complex.

Here’s what it looks like, and it has a subtle cucumber scent.

While I don’t know about long term effects at this point, I love using this gel. It does give my eyes the tightening effect that I need. Plus, it does not irritate my extremely sensitive eyelids, and for me, that’s a must. Over time, I hope it’ll plump my crow’s feet too.

InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel is priced at $19.97 for 1.7 fl.oz./50 ml. You can get more info on the InstaNatural website. Like the serum, you can buy it on the website and on Amazon, it’s made in the U.S. and is cruelty-free.

*As mentioned above, I received the products via Brandbacker from InstaNatural in exchange for a honest review.

  5. Hi Allison,

Serum with citrus scent, I would definitely try that one!
I hope it works for you, I wish to lighten my dark circles, too. I have seen some improvements through using vitamin c for months, but that took a very long period of time, I would love to find another product with more power.
The gel looks a good choice for eyelids, you are right about creams for the eye area, gels gives a tighten effect, but as far as I found, it lasts for only a couple of hours or so, what about you?

    1. I don’t expect eye creams or gels to completely remake my eyes at this stage, Dima, since I’m older than you. But it does provide the effect I’m looking for for long enough, and with all the eye products I use, I have seem some improvement especially in the skin under my eyebrows. I wish, however, there was a real miracle eye cream!

  6. I need to try out that eye gel, everything I try lately I’m not happy with.

  9. You are not that old, Allison!

Your age is measured by the age of your soul and heart, I know women younger than you who live a life of a 90 years-old woman. A productive, cheerful, and positive thinking person will always be young from deep inside, and that reflects on the outside 🙂
Yes, I know , there is no miracle cream, not even the $1000 cream will reverse time.
It is the way life goes!
Just remember…. as I always say:

NORAH recently posted…Wink Brow Bar New YorkMy Profile

    1. That’s interesting, Norah. Do you put serum on top of moisturizer? Does it make a difference which order it goes on?

  17. i do mix a heavier moisturizer, something like Embryolisse with serum in winter but that’s because my skin gets extra dehydrated and am a stickler for hydration, order isn’t important although serums absorb very fast on me. this week i’ve been using oils again, it is so cold here in NJ i just take extra care with it all.
NORAH recently posted…Wink Brow Bar New YorkMy Profile

    1. I should look into Embryolisse. My skin is so unbelievably dry now. Thanks for letting me know that order isn’t important. I thought serums had to go on first!

Thank you! Seriously, I don’t know what happened, it looks like Facebook was showing my page to more friends of my followers, sometimes I got likes from few with the same family name. 1. I was shocked when I saw the bright orange, lol

  23. One of my favorite reasons to read your blog is how thorough you are in your reviews. I wonder if the orange tint helps diffuse the bluish tint our “bags” can have?

    1. Thank you so much, Ashley! It’s because I am a market researcher & focus group moderator and I write long reports for my clients, lol. I’m always afraid my reviews are too “thorough”! What a smart idea that you have about the orange color neutralizing the blue undertones! You are most likely correct! It makes perfect sense. And I never thought of it at all. Thank you 🙂

  25. May i know where can i buy them? i am from malaysia

    1. Novi, InstaNatural products are sold on Amazon, and to the best of my knowledge, they ship internationally. I think there are links to the product(s) on my blogpost. If you are able to buy them, I hope you’ll like them. I do!
