In this short post, I’d like to highlight two new things for me: Instagram video and the beauty sample box service, ipsy.
Instagram makes it possible to upload 15 second videos, and I think I’ve figured out how to get them into my blog (at least it works with Safari and Firefox). Unfortunately, 15 seconds goes by in a flash, so I can’t say much. But it allows me to give you a peak at my first ipsy box.
ipsy is a subscription service that for $10 a month, based on a free year-long subscription, and free shipping in the U.S., sends a bag filled with beauty goodies, some sample size and some full size. I signed up in June, and I’ve been excited to receive my first bag. The Beach Beauty products came in a cute, hot pink clear plastic makeup bag. It also comes with discounts for subsequent purchases from the brands in the bag. The full size lipstick and nail polish alone make this a great value at $10.
In the video, I try to quickly introduce each product. I’ll do another post with photos and a review of each product in the near future. But check out my mini-video. I promise to get better at it in the future 😉
