Ipsy Glam Bag Plus May 2021 Flower Power

Although I still prefer traditional makeup bags to the drawstring, this month’s pink floral bag was a pretty one. And I admit that the drawstring bag is a better fit for all the full size products. The bag color and design definitely fits with the May theme, Flower Power.

When I opened up my Flower Power bag and started taking out the beauty products, it seemed like there was an awful lot of stuff in there. I did purchase 3 add-ons this month, but still. When I went to my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus page, it looked like they threw in an extra product. Yay, I’ll take it!

So here’s what I got in my May Plus Bag:

Shaina B. Miami B. Fab Brush Set: This set of 5 extremely soft, pretty hot pink, synthetic bristle brushes are much nicer than I expected. I will use them. $25

Hey Honey Open Your Eyes Lifting Eye Serum: Anything for the eyes that says “lifting”, I’m in. This cloudy white liqui-gel is perfect to use around my entire eye socket for extra firming. Because my eyes are so dry, I would use an eye cream on top of it. $37

Haus Laboratories Glam Attack Metallic Créme in Gunmetal: I have been so impressed with the makeup from Lady Gaga’s Haus Laboratories brand. The Gunmetal Metallic Creme Eyeshadow is creamy, opaque and gorgeous! P.S. It comes in 3 other shades. $22

Milk Cosmetics Kush Mascara, shade Boom: I really like Milk Cosmetics Kush Mascara because it is both volumizing and lengthening, so I was happy to see that it was a choice for my bag this month. I usually buy the travel size, so this full size is a nice surprise. $25

ClarityRX Get Balanced Priobiotic Serum: Everything is probiotic these days, but I am still getting into probiotics for facial skincare. I have tried this clear serum yet, but the ingredients look great: “probiotics, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants, this serum balances and hydrates your skin to create a radiant, dewy glow.” $72

Violet Voss Windflower Fun Sized Eye Shadows: 10 shades in the red/peach/brown family in mattes and shimmers. Even though they are traditionally warm colors, these look cool-toned/neutral to me. Very pretty for all year round use. What a nice extra! $18

Add-ons

First Aid Beauty Gentle Foaming Face Cleanser: I love the FAB cream cleanser, so I decided to try the foaming cleanser for summer. I think I paid $12 for the full size, and the regular price is $22.

Hanalei Kona Peptide Hawaiian Eye Cream: Peptides are all the rage these days, and I love Hanalei’s lip balm so for $3 for the deluxe sample, I thought it was worth a try. Also, it’s another eye cream that I can use all around my eyes. Here’s the description: “Peptides help firm and reduce the appearance of fine lines, caffeine reduces puffiness, oat extract soothes and smooths, hyaluronic acid boosts moisture, and a special complex made with Hawaiian super-botanicals restore delicate skin.” Sounds like it’s worth a try and I can layer it over the Hey Honey eye serum.

Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector: I am all in for Olaplex these days. I recently bought a full size bottle of No. 3, a pre-treatment, but I figured a travel size for $3 is well worth the price. Now I just have to have time to plan some time in advance of washing my hair to apply this pre-treatment!

    1. I’m very pleased with this month’s bag. Maybe not quite as deluxe as yours, but more than decent for a monthly. I am wearing the shadow palette today 🙂

Glam Bag Plus. Sorry. I was being lazy and just used initials.

          2. OMG, I either need a nap or a drink!!! I actually went back to my post and looked at every item trying to figure out what you meant. Of course, it’s Glam Bag Plus! But I seldom call it Glam Bag, so I didn’t think of it.

  4. Great bag. I’d be really happy with this. KUSH Mascara is a great one for me. Any eye cream products are great for me to try out. Great extra buys too. I bought an extra from Boxycharm of a Viseart palette – I wondered why it was so cheap and then I got it and the colors are pretty awful. I have a charity garage sale coming up and it’s going in there.
