Another absolutely adorable makeup bag from ipsy! The theme is Rebel Rebel, and the design on the makeup bag is brightly colored graffiti.
Last week I took the train into Boston from the suburbs, and the back side of a building near the railroad station in Beverly is completely covered in really skilled, artistic graffiti. It always makes me smile. And this bag from ipsy does too.
Here’s what was inside my bag:
- Urban Decay Fireball Eyeshadow, deluxe sample 0.03 oz., $11.40: Fireball is a peach/pink duotone. I’ve never tried any of the UD duo chrome shadows so I was happy to get this. Plus, it’s my favorite shades: pink and peach. It has a gorgeous sheen. I’ll definitely get a lot of use out of this pretty.
- Seraphine Botanicals Happy Hibiscus 99% Natural Blush for All Skintones, full size, $18: I’ve never heard of this brand, but it is impressive looking. The good news is its vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free. The compact has a small mirror which was a good surprise. The shade looks like bronzer in the pan, but it’s a nude, shimmer blush. Very pretty. I’ll definitely use it.
- Formula X Nail Polish in Wingwoman, a bright summer red, deluxe sample 0.13 oz, $3.41: I loved the Formula X polish I received in my holiday ipsy bag so I’m sure I’ll love this one too. The shade is a classic so I know it’ll be wearable.
- Royal & Langnickel MODA Crease/Smudge Brush, $5.99: Soft and a great size for travel or to carry in my makeup bag. Love it. I didn’t realize that Royal & Langnickel makes artists’ brushes too!
- clariSEA Sea Salt Solutions Deep Pore Detox Activated Charcoal Exfoliating Mask, deluxe sample 1 oz. $4.50: I don’t usually use charcoal masks anymore since my skin is dry. But last night it was a hot night, and I was in the mood to try out the mask. It’s a powder mask that you add water to and mix. It reminded me of the first mask I used from Georgette Klinger back in the day, but that one was pink and this one is deep green. I left it on till it dried and washed it off. It felt like it did a good job getting my face ultra clean. I couldn’t use it too often because it was a bit drying, but I enjoyed it for a change.
IMHO, this was another winner month from ipsy. Adorable bag, great goodies! Worth $43.30, and I paid $10 delivered.

You got a really good bag, Allison! I’ve used a sea salt scrub from ClariSea brand before and it was pretty good. I bought the blush off a lady who didn’t want it and I’m actually surprised that the full size is that tiny but then again, how often do we finish a blush? LOL! It’s very shimmery on me and I need to play around with it more. I tried it for the first time yesterday and it looked muddy on me.

I thought the blush was a deluxe sample but I looked it up on the website and that’s their full size. Pretty pricey for that size. I was playing around with it yesterday and it looked more like a bronzer which I thought it originally was. I don’t bother with bronzer too often, but I’ll try to make myself use it that way. Too brown for a blush, right?
Yea, depending on skin tone it would fit better as a bronzer. I’m using it as a blush topper today, it’s pretty but I’m still trying to find the best way to make it work on me.

Really nice box and I love the print on the cosmetic bag 🙂 I also really love graffiti .. when it’s artistic of course. Not fond of when kids ‘tag’ blank space 🙁

As someone who lived in NYC during the 1970s, I know what you mean about tagging blank space. I’ll never forget what the subway looked like! But this makeup bag sure is a cutie!
OMG there’s UD and Formula X, not to mention that lovely brush. Plus, the bag is cute. I have a Royal & Langnickel eyeshadow brush I love, and this dual-ended brush looks fabulous!

While the only similar item I got was a UD e/s, I am happier with my June bag than a lot of the past ones. I love that you got the brush and nail polish.

I agree, Ipsy has upped their game. I guess they realized they were not the only game in town anymore. I’m glad I stuck with them. That powder mud mask sounds right up my alley – sorry I didn’t get that sample!

I love the bag. Even when I’m not thrilled with my Ipsy haul it’s always worth the $. I have only tried the blush so far and I like it just fine when used with a light touch.Ipsy made the cut when I trimmed the fat off my beauty budget and I’m glad.
I get 3 subbies right now, and ipsy usually wins every month. Birchbox won’t get re-upped when it runs out in December, and I’m on the fence about Sephora Play. Did you get the Urban Decay eyeshadow, Laura? I wore the duochrome, Fireball, that I got last night and it’s lovely

I got the same eyeshadow (I already owned in in full-size), blush (liked it), and nail polish (haven’t tried yet) that you did. I also got a sea salt hair spray that I won’t use, and Japonesque solid brush cleaner (haven’t used yet). So not as good as the last two months. I wish they’d stop sending me hair products, and would have send me the eye brush instead.
