I’m still delighted with my subscription to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus, the monthly subscription that sends me at least 5 full size cosmetics worth well over $100 every month for $25. I have used just about every item that I’ve received. Even the very few that didn’t suit me I enjoyed trying anyway. Plus there’s an opportunity to add on additional travel size or full size items at deep discounts. If you ever decide to give Ipsy Plus a go, please consider using my referral code xoxo

This month, Ipsy Plus’s bag is called Daydream. Let’s see what I got.

I’m a big fan of Murad skincare, and a big fan of retinol. I’ve been using ROC Retinol Eye Cream, but it isn’t quite moisturizing enough for me. So I was delighted to get to try Murad’s version. It comes in an easy to use and control pump, and so far, I really like the gel-cream texture. I’ll let you know how it goes in a month.

I have always wanted to try Illamasqua makeup, but since Sephora stopped carrying the brand a few years ago, I haven’t had an opportunity. Getting to lovely lip pencil in shades that I definitely wear, yes please! Lust is a coral pink, one of my favorite shades that I wear often in the summer, and Media, gorgeous cranberry red. The pencils are very pigmented and smooth/easy to apply. Love them!!!

Il Makiage is another brand that I’ve been curious about, so I was happy to see it in this month’s box. I typically wear lengthening non-waterproof mascara, so this one is definitely out of my wheelhouse. I have only used it once so far, and I think it will take a little getting used to for me. It definitely volumizes – not sure if it has fibers in the formula, but it fattens my lashes. I have to get used to that. Actually, by the end of the night, I looked at my lashes, and I liked the fatter look. It was easy to remove with Koh Gen Do Cleansing SPA Water and Pure Cotton Pads. There was no flaking or coming off under my eyes. Will this be a favorite for me? Not sure because I am such a devotee of Benefit mascaras (They’re Real, Roller Lash and Badgal Bang) and MAC Upward Lash. Still I was happy to try it. The look is growing on me, and the packaging is very cool.

I love the blush pink color of the glass bottle that this new-to-me face oil comes in. But I haven’t tried it yet because I have been testing Alavina Nourishing Face Oil and another face oil from Biossance. I haven’t seen this brand at Sephora, but I am definitely curious. Soon I’ll get it!

Every month, I get a palette in my Ipsy Plus box, and that is always exciting. When I opened Wander’s Wanderess Seascape Eyeshadow Palette, I knew this would be one of my go-to palettes for summer. The shades are decidedly summery and decidedly me. The shadows represent a mix of finishes: shimmer, foil, satin, and matte. My only slight issue is that the matte shade, Sand Dollar, is a light orange-beige. I use it in the crease and V so I wish it had been a little deeper and maybe a milk chocolate shade.

But I love the other shades. Today I’m wear Seafoam, a pale champagne green shimmer that is highly wearable even in the daytime around here in the fashion conservative ‘burbs of Boston. Coastal, the stunning Capri blue, will make a wonderful eyeliner for summer.

The Daydream Plus box has a value of about $211, so for my $25 price, I definitely got my money’s worth. I adore the “me” palette and lip pencils, and I am happy to try out a new mascara even if I decide to stick with my own favorites. I am thrilled with the Murad Retinol Eye Serum. While I technically don’t need another face oil, I love oils so I am more than happy to try this new brand out.

Honestly, I think the Ipsy Plus box is such a great way to build your cosmetics stash and try out new things. It’s a steal for $25. If you decide to give it a try (you can cancel anytime), please consider using my referral code.

Do any of my goodies appeal to you?
