Gee, the months just fly by. It’s ipsy time again!
I’m having a good streak. I like everything I received this month in my November “Girl Meets Glitter” glam bag.
The sparkly silver bag alone was enough for me, lol. But even though I didn’t get the prestige brands Calvin Klein or Laura Mercier like other women did, I was more than satisfied with what I did get. All stuff I will wear!
Here’s what I got:
- Nicole by OPI nail polish in Guys & Galaxies, a sparkly silver
- Elizabeth Mott You’re So Fine Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in black with a brush applicator
- L.A. Colors Lip Crayon in a raspberry shade
- Temptu S/B Highlighter in Pink Pearl
- Demeter Perfume Oil in Pixie Dust.
I really do like everything I received. Though I don’t usually wear fruity scents, I like Pixie Dust that smells sort of like pineapple. And I’m a big fan of oils since they usually last longer on me. The Temptu Highlighter was a real surprise. The Pink Pearl shade is subtle and very flattering. The sparkly polish is gorgeous. I don’t have any raspberry lip shades, and I’ll have fun with that. I’m a fan of Elizabeth Mott products (I use her Cherry Lip/Cheek tint almost everyday), so I will try this liner in my quest to learn how to apply a cat eye on my downturned eyes.
So, this bag is definitely worth well over the $10 I paid for it. Nicole by OPI polishes are $9 on their own!

The lip crayon is so hydrating, I love it. And the polish shade will get a lot of love during the holidays for sure. The Temptu highlighter was the surprise!

Wow that is a great bag! I love to see what people get, but I dropped my subscription to the Beauty Bar box after a while, even though I generally liked it. I actually kind of made me crazy to have all these little products to use up. And the ingredients were uncertain. I really study ingredients and like to choose what I get. But then I see posts like these and am tempted again 🙂 !
I know what you mean, Susan. After a while, it’s difficult to know what to do with all this stuff. But as a blogger, my ipsy reviews bring in a lot of readers so I’ll keep the subscription for now. As for as the ingredients go, you’re right that it’s hard to trust them. A number of the products from ipsy do have questionable ingredients. But for me, it’s a good opportunity to get to try out new brands/products before committing to a full size or spending a lot of $.

That was the surprise of the bag, Renu! I love the subtle pink shimmer of the Temptu highlighter! I like it even more than the Becca Shimmer Powder in rose gold that I just bought because it’s more subtle.

I’ve never tried LA Colors before because we don’t have the brand around here. I was surprised how pigmented and how hydrating the crayon is. Very nice. Hope you got some goodies in yours.

I can hardly wait to use that polish. I love silver sparkles, and it’ll go with my silver sparkles earrings. However, I have to make a trip to Walgreens to see if there’s any Sinful Prosecco left. Love that one too.

This bag looks amazing! I haven’t been a subscriber in a while, but I keep contemplating reactivating my account.
Vivienne, this month and last were great bags, meaning I was able to use everything I received. Some of the prior months were hit or miss. But for $10 delivered, I still can’t find another sub box that surpasses it 🙂
It looks like your bag was really on-theme. I’ve seen what some other people got in theirs but the only glitter item was the bag. I definitely like the look of yours the most so far.

Yay, the last few months, my ipsy bags have been on target with stuff I will use. I liked last month’s bag, but going with the point you brought up, it didn’t go with the theme. I agree that this one did!
