This past year, I hadn’t done a lot of shopping for beauty products. But I have been making up for it this holiday season. I admit, I’m a little out of control. Basically, I am replacing my beauty favorites on sale and trying a few products that I’ve had my eye on.
IT Cosmetics Pillow Lips Solid Serum
IT Cosmetics had a 30% off sale about a week ago, so I decided to buy two jars of one of my favorite eye creams, IT Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream. BTW, I just noticed that It sells a 1 oz. Supersize jar at a discount from the regular 0.5 oz. size. Too bad I didn’t notice that during the sale. Nevertheless, I’m happy to have the two jars in my stash at a relatively deep discount!
To get free shipping, I had to spend a certain amount, so I looked for something inexpensive to put me over the threshold. The way I look at it, I would rather get the extra product almost for free than pay for shipping.
I chose IT Cosmetics Pillow Lips Solid Serum Lip Gloss, a translucent 5-in-1 lip gloss that delivers instant hydration to chapped or aging lips with a natural flush of buildable color. It’s similar to Thrive Causemetics Hydrating Lip Tint that I wrote about recently (here).
Pillow Lips Solid Serum Lip Gloss is infused with collagen, hyaluronic acid and a complex of three oils to hydrate lips and provide 4 hours of comfort. There are no grains in the solid gloss like there can be in some other brands, just complete smoothness. Although the gloss doesn’t last through eating or drinking, it does stay on for the 4 hours otherwise. Plus with the slim tube that fits my lips perfectly, it’s easy to reapply.
Another lovely feature about Pillow Lips Gloss is that it stays put: it doesn’t feather or settle into lines or wrinkles. I don’t need to wear a lipliner with it.
Pillow Lips Gloss has no fragrance, although it has a slight sweet flavor if I run my tongue over my lips.
One reason why it’s always helpful to read the directions which I seldom do is that it wasn’t a cinch figuring out how to get the bullet to click up. Though it was clear to me that I had to click the button on the other end of the tube, I clicked it a few times and the bullet moved up a bit. The directions say to click the button up to 10 times! That worked.
IT Cosmetics Pillow Lips Solid Serum Lip Gloss comes in 8 shades. I bought one of the deepest shades, Like a Dream, a red plum shade that is a MLBB color that’s great for everyday wear.
What I especially love about this solid lip gloss, besides the fact that it isn’t sticky, is that the color particles in the formula do not dry out my lips over time like some other brands do.
It Cosmetics Pillow Lips Solid Serum Lip Gloss is sold on the It Cosmetics website and at Ulta Beauty where the regular price is $26. There’s currently a 20% off sale at Ulta on everything, and I guess that It Cosmetics will have another sale as we get closer to Christmas. This gloss is a keeper for me!
