Although it’s not gardening season and I am limiting where I go, I’m still washing my hands a lot. And because we’re in the depths of winter in New England, my hands are dry. So finding products that I enjoy using and that hydrate my hands is a must.

I still have about three-quarters of an inch of one of my favorite discoveries from 2020, Hemp Seed Hand Wash from Earthly Body.
It’s made with eucalyptus and orange oils as well as hemp seeds that exfoliate and get very dirty hands clean without stripping skin of oils. I really love it, and this is the second bottle that I have almost used up. I decided that rather than finish it now, I will hope for a warmer than usual March so that I can start cleaning up my gardens early. The hemp seeds in the formula are the absolute best for removing dirt on hands and under nails.
In its place, I have opened a box of travel size Molton Brown Hand Wash and Hand Lotion in the scent, Orange & Bergamot.
I bought a full size bottle of the Orange & Bergamot Body Wash during the summer, and I really like this rather unusual scent.
To me, it smells like tea (bergamot) with orange. It has a sharpness to it, however, that may not be everyone’s “cup of tea”. In fact, my friend Kim bought this duo in the full size bottles, and she doesn’t love it unfortunately. But I do, and it’s a scent that seems to go with kitchen activities. I bought this gift set of minis before the holidays on sale at Nordstrom Rack. My next new hand-related purchase is from another of my favorite bath and body brands, RITUALS. I am addicted to RITUALS Hand Balm because it makes my hands feel hydrated and silky smooth with no greasy feeling whatsoever. I have gone through at least 3 of the “kitchen size” pump bottles as well as two of the purse size tubes of Hand Balm in the delightful, spring scent, Sakura (Japanese cherry blossom). I even bought some in Amsterdam where the company is based.
When I was shopping the RITUALS website several months ago during a sale (of course), I decided to pick up Kitchen Hand Balm in a new-to-me RITUALS scent, Precious Amber. Honestly, if you are a fan of amber fragrances like I am, you must, must, must try RITUALS Precious Amber. The scent is glorious. Here’s how RITUALS describes the amber fragrance: “When used in perfumes, amber is sweet, delicate and sensual with powdery, vanilla and Oriental accents.” Yum! When I’m wearing it, I can’t stop smelling my hands!

My budget has been wrecked by my rash decision to go with both Boxwalla AND Ipsy Glam Bag X, so I’m using Method hand wash and Aveeno Lotion right now.
