Jordana has really been busy this year with oodles of new product and shade introductions. And they are definitely going with the trend toward color. Recently, they sent me the new Cat Eye Liner liquid liner in 8 shades.
Oops, thought I arranged them in order with the shade names showing, but I didn’t! They are:
- 01 black leather
- 02 black brown
- 03 orchid – light purple
- 04 twilight – royal blue
- 05 caribbean – aqua
- 06 envy – metallic light green (almost a green-gold shade)
- 07 suede – eggplant
- 08 future – gold
Jordana Cat Eye liquid liner has a thin brush applicator like Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. Usually I’m not exactly great at applying liquid eyeliner, but this was surprisingly easy to apply.
And Cat Eye Liner is smudge-proof and waterproof. It hasn’t budged in the 7 1/2 hours that I’ve been wearing it so far today. After I swatched them on my arm, I got into the shower, and water did nothing to remove them. Soap plus water did nothing to remove them. Soap plus scrunchie removed them with ease. Removing them with eye makeup remover is a cinch.
The colors are stunning! And they represent a good range of metallics, brights and neutrals. Here are the swatches, again not in order (why do I always do things my way!).
So far, I’ve worn gold, green, and royal blue, and I love all three. Here’s me wearing Envy. I love this metallic green glow.
In fact, I’m really beginning to like green eye makeup with blue eyes. Plus, I like the light colored liner more than black on my eyelid. I could get used to these!

I agree with those picks, but I also like the blues too, Laura. Jordana is really impressing me with these and the Modern Matte Lipsticks and the Color Blush Sticks!!

Thank you, Jamie! I’m beginning to be a green eye makeup lover. Although I use black to tightline, I’m beginning to think that colors look better on my older eyelids than black. You should try the purple. At that price, why not?!

I have very sensitive eyes. I have dry eye and blepharitis, and I have no problem with these at all. But that’s me, Lisa. Do you know if you’re sensitive to any particular ingredients?

These are gorgeous for Spring and Summer. I seem to shy away from colors when it comes to liner, but I really need to start incorporating more color into my makeup routine. These are great for anyone on a budget!

Suede, the deep purple/eggplant shade, is a great shade for those who want a hint of color but still stay in the neutral range
Love the colors but the applicator would be an issue for me, I tend to use firmer wands to ensure clean, streak free application (just me personally, am a bit of a stickler with liquid liner).

Yes, you would skip this. For klutzes like me, the applicator is so easy to use fortunately, but it isn’t firm.

Thank you so much for listing the ingredients! I wear mostly vegan or all natural makeup and I avoid very specific ingredients in my makeup now (BHA/BHT and Parabens). Nice to know that these don’t have super scary stuff in them! And the colors are pretty too!

Glad that these don’t have the preservatives you mentioned, Ameerah, but if you’re wearing vegan makeup, this mainstream brand probably isn’t for you. But the colors really are very pretty!

I usually am not great with liquid liners, but somehow the itsy-bitsy brush makes this stuff easier to apply than a pencil. Who knew?

So pretty! I’d love to get my hands on that Caribbean shade! My hands tend to shake when I’m putting on eyeliner, so I tend to stick to pencil, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to master a brush tip with enough practice!
