Kleem Organics Intensive Rejuvenating Vitamin C Serum

Remember a few weeks ago I crowned myself the queen of Vitamin C serums? Well, I’m adding another jewel to the crown with Kleem Organics Intensive Rejuvenating Vitamin C Serum.

There are a zillion vitamin C serums on the market now. They certainly have taken the skincare world by storm. I’ve had good luck with all of the vitamin C serums I’ve tried so far. They brighten my skin, fade my dark spots a bit, and help with my major concern: collagen production to keep my skin tighter and firmer.

So how to choose?

The differences among the brands seem to be in the packaging, the ingredients and the aesthetics of the serum itself. Determine what’s important to you, and go from there.

Kleem Organics Intensive Rejuvenating Vitamin C Serum wins the competition in terms of:

  • packaging
  • origin of the ingredients.

Kleem’s serum comes in an aluminum pump bottle which I believe is a plus. I prefer the opaque pump bottle to the amber glass bottles and droppers of other brands I’ve tried because I don’t have to be concerned about dropping and breaking the bottle if my hands are wet from washing my face (I have a ceramic tile floor in the bathroom), and it protects the efficacy of the ingredients including the vitamin C itself. When I pump Kleem Vitamin C Serum, I pump it into my cupped hand to prevent the serum from splattering. Two pumps covers my face and neck.

Next, the ingredients used in Kleem’s Vitamin C Serum are 98% naturally derived and 72% organic. If you tend to look for organic products especially in skincare, this brand may be the right one for you.

The serum itself is lightweight: the first ingredient on the list is water. That makes Kleem’s Vitamin C Serum a good choice for those with oily or even combination skin. Other brands have a glycerin-based serum which could feel too heavy for some women.

Kleem Organics Vitamin C Serum contains hyaluronic acid to help skin stay hydrated, and it has a long list of plant-based anti-oxidants:

When I’ve reviewed vitamin C serums in the past, some readers have asked about the scent. Kleem Organics Intensive Rejuvenating Vitamin C Serum has a scent that I would describe as “herbal”. The scent disappears as soon as you put it on. Some of you may recognize it as a typical “vitamin C serum aroma”. I asked the owners of Kleem about the scent. I was told that it is due to the combination of witch hazel (great for moisturizing, fighting wrinkles and for treating eczema and psoriasis) and ferulic acid (this plant anti-oxidant is important in helping to stabilize ingredients vitamin C and E). Nevertheless, the owner told me that “the lab is currently working on a formulation whereby they keep the same ingredients but combine them in a different order. This is diminishing the distinctive aroma. We are now actually able to add some sweet orange oil to our product.” In a few weeks, Kleem Vitamin C Serum with a light orange scent will replace the current formulation. If that’s important to you, wait a couple of weeks before ordering. 😉 But I love the fact that the owners of the company are so responsive to consumer concerns!

Kleem Organics Intensive Rejuvenating Vitamin C Serum is sold on Amazon for $19.99. It is made in the U.S., contains 1 fl. oz./30 ml, and it is cruelty-free. Check it out!

  1. I´ve never heard of Kleem before but this serum sounds like something I would like to try. I also prefer skin care products that do not come in a glass jar or bottle, because sometimes I´m just so clumsy 😛

    1. The aluminum pump really is better than the glass bottle. You don’t have to worry about dropping it

  2. I’m not a fan of fragrances.. hopefully they can get rid of this one!

    1. This isn’t a “fragrance”, it’s the naturally occurring scent that goes along with the ingredients. Any product that is positioned as “fragrance-free” has chemicals (natural or otherwise) masking the original scent. What Kleem is going to do is add natural sweet orange oil like some other vitamin C serums do. It will make a big difference, though the witch hazel/ferulic acid aroma isn’t bad and it fades immediately.

  7. Wow, that is really reasonable for a C-Serum product. Most that I’ve tried are so expensive that is why I’ve stopped using them. Wish I could just put lemons on my face.

  15. This speaks to me! I’m also finding that a lot of the serums are close in efficacy, and the details are what make it. My faves do tend to have that orange scent, rather than the herbal one, so I’d rather try it after the reformulation.

The packaging is very important for me, too!
This serum looks like the perfect one, organic, natural and light consistency, not to mention the price. It is very important for women over 30 to use a vitamin C serum for healthy skin, and this one looks a good choice!

Poonpo recently posted…Popular Hair Color Ideas For 2015My Profile

    1. It is relatively new, Poonpo. As a matter of fact, they just reformulated the serum to give it a pleasant orange scent. Next, they’ll be redesigning the label and logo as well as their website. It’s a wonderful brand and the owners are the best!

  22. Honest reviewer says:

I’m one of the new Kleem serum purchaser (bought one on late December 2015). They now have that light orange tint to the serum. However, I was disappointed with the serum due to 2 reasons. It leaves a filmy residue after it dries out, makes my tretinoin (retin A) harder to blend at night, leaving flakes. In the morning I have same issue when I’m putting on sunscreen/makeup. It is definitely something difficult to layer under. The price has been increased a lot since it was reviewed here. With amazon sponsorship and all.. I wonder if the reviews there were rigged.

The positive note: Loved the packaging. The pump bottle is definitely very luxurious.

Disclaimer: I purchased it with my own money at full price.

    1. Thank you, Honest Reviewer, for taking the time to comment with your recent experience with the reformulated Kleem Organics serum. It has been about 10 months since I finished my second bottle of Kleem, and I wasn’t aware that they reformulated the serum again. If you haven’t done so already, I suggest that you comment on the Kleem Organics website or better yet, email the company directly with your comments. I know that the owners are genuinely interested in the honest reactions of their purchasers like you! Thank you for stopping by and giving me updated feedback like this
