Korres Spread Joy Olive Blossom Body Care Collection

In December, I placed an order with Korres. I can’t remember for sure if I bought the terrific holiday box, “Spread Joy”, Olive Blossom trio in order to spend enough money to get points that would get me a free product, but I think that’s what happened. What I remember is that the “Spread Joy” box with three full size bath and body products was a steal.

At this point in the year, the “Spread Joy” box of three is no longer available, sadly, but instead there is the Discovery Kit containing all four of the Pure Greek Olive Oil (Korres’ iconic ingredient) products. The extra product in the Discovery Kit is the 3 in 1 Olive Oil that can be used on the face, skin or hands. In addition, all of the products from the Pure Greek Olive Oil collection for dry or dehydrated skin are sold separately.

Following are the three products in the “Spread Joy” holiday box.

Pure Greek Olive Shower Gel Olive Blossom

Foaming olive oil shower gel locks in lasting hydration and nourishing vitamins, antioxidants and omega fatty acids for smooth, hydrated skin. Using a pouf, it makes oodles of suds. It leaves my skin feeling lightly hydrated.

Shower Gel Olive Blossom is fragranced, but the scent is a gender neutral, light scent that reminds me of an olive tree in bloom. The fragrance doesn’t linger nor is it strong when in use in the shower. This shower gel also comes in unscented, wild orchid, and sea salt.

Although the olive oil shower gel is vegan, cruelty-free and silicone-free, it is not gluten-free: it contains hydrolyzed wheat gluten.

Shower Gel Olive Blossom comes in a 250 ml/8.45 fl. oz. recyclable plastic squeeze bottle. It is priced at $19 on the Korres website, and it is worth 19 points to add to your account.

Ingredients: aqua/water/eau, sodium laureth sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium cocoylisethionate, coco-glucoside, glyceryl oleate, parfum/fragrance, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, alpha-isomethyl ionone, arginine, benzyl alcohol, castoryl maleate, citronellol, coumarin, geraniol, glycerin, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, hexyl cinnamal, hydrolyzed wheat gluten, imidazolidinyl urea, lactic acid, limonene, linalool, olea europaea (olive) leaf extract, phenoxyethanol, polyquaternium-7, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, sodium chloride, sodium dehydroacetate, sodium gluconate, tocopherol

Pure Greek Olive Body Cream Olive Blossom

Like the Olive Blossom Shower Gel, the fast-absorbing, non-greasy Pure Greek Olive Body Cream Olive Blossom also delivers vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids while leaving soft, smooth, hydrated skin. Over time, it also helps with skin elasticity. The body cream itself is heavier than a lotion, but lighter than a body butter.

Body Cream Olive Blossom has the same gender neutral, light olive blossom scent. It doesn’t linger after it’s applied.

Body Cream Olive Blossom comes in a recyclable plastic squeeze tube containing 200 ml/6.76 fl. oz. It is priced at $28 and worth 28 points.

Ingredients: aqua/water/eau, caprylic/capric triglyceride, glycerin, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, hydrogenated polydecene, glyceryl stearate citrate, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp copolymer, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, decyl cocoate, parfum/fragrance, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, alpha-isomethyl ionone, althaea officinalis root extract, caprylyl glycol, citral, citronellol, coumarin, distarch phosphate, geraniol, glycine soja (soybean) oil, hexyl cinnamal, lactic acid, limonene, linalool, magnesium pca, manganese pca, methyl 2-octynoate, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, olea europaea (olive) leaf extract, panthenol, phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, sodium benzoate, sodium gluceptate, sodium pca, zinc pca

Pure Greek Olive Hand Cream Olive Blossom

Similarly, the Pure Greek Olive Hand Cream Olive Blossom is a fast-absorbing, non-greasy hand cream and cuticle cream that delivers vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids to dehydrated skin leaving the hands feeling soft, smooth and moisturized. It’s an instant fix for dry hands.

My only complaint with the Hand Cream Olive Blossom is the strong scent. Unlike the Shower Gel and the Body Cream, the scent is stronger and it lingers for at least 5 minutes…too long for me if I am rushing out the door and want to apply perfume. What’s really odd is that the fragrance is much further down the ingredient list for the hand cream (compared to the shower gel and body cream), yet it’s stronger! Go figure.

I wish the Hand Cream came in Unscented like the Shower Gel and the Body Cream. Weird, though it is available in Sea Salt. Other than the strong scent, it’s a wonderful and effective hand cream.

The Hand Cream Olive Blossom comes in a recyclable plastic tube containing 75 ml/2.54 fl. oz. which makes it TSA-friendly if you want to travel with it. The Hand Cream is priced at $18 and it gives you 18 points.

Ingredients: aqua/water/eau, glycerin, glyceryl stearate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, ethylhexyl palmitate, peg-100 stearate, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, hydrogenated polydecene, propylheptyl caprylate, cetearyl alcohol, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, distarch phosphate, orbignya oleifera seed oil, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylatecrosspolymer, alpha-isomethyl ionone, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp copolymer, benzyl alcohol, butyleneglycol, calendula officinalis flower extract, cetyl alcohol, citral, citronellol, coumarin, geraniol, hexyl cinnamal, lactic acid, limonene, linalool, malachite extract, nymphaea caerulea flowerextract, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, olea europaea (olive) leaf extract, panthenol, parfum/fragrance, peg-20 stearate, phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate, punica granatum fruit extract, sodium benzoate, tetrasodium glutamatediacetate, tocopherol, tocopheryl acetate

Korres Points System

Although once you sign up for the loyalty/points program, you get a certain number of points for each dollar you spend when you purchase products. The number of points you receive is based on the “Circle” or (My Circle) you are in. I have now progressed to the third Circle, and I will be receiving 1.25x the value of every order I place. When I reach $300 (I need another $87), I will progress to the fourth Circle and earn more points per purchase.

You can go to the Redemption Gallery to look at the products you could redeem your points for, or else just click the “Redeem” button next to the “Buy” button on each product page.

It seemed a little confusing at first, but I have gotten several free products from Korres by accumulating points, actually $203 worth of products so far. Well worth it for natural products made from Greek-sourced organic ingredients that are cruelty-free and vegan! I’m a fan of this brand.

Their point system sounds so much better than other sites. It’s great for Korres lovers (like you).

    1. The point system is a little weird, but I am constantly getting free stuff so I can’t complain!
