The cherry blossoms are finally in bloom in Massachusetts. Well, sort of. The cold snap we had after the early warm weather froze and killed the blossoms on the pear trees, forsythia, weeping cherry trees and many of the blossoms on the gorgeous cherry trees. How unfair! This is a cherry tree from last year in all it’s glory. What a stunner!
Although I tend toward big, spicy oriental fragrances, I’ve fallen for the light, almost powdery cherry blossom scent. I can’t get enough. Lately, I’ve been coating myself in delicate cherry blossom by layering the cherry blossom fragranced products that I own.
I’ve written about two of them in the past here:

- InStyle ActivESSENCE Time Released Fragrance Mist
Both have lightweight fragrances that are more evident and last longer when they’re worn together. Cherry Blossom is a scent that whispers rather than shouts! I adore the Rituals Zensation foaming shower gel. It is the most innovative shower product I own! Love how it is a gel that foams up when the water hits it. And it’s an affordable splurge: $15 for a long lasting can.
The inexpensive ActivESSENCE fragrance mist is so perfect for everyday. I spray it all over me to get as much scent as I can.
During the beauty event at Barney’s earlier this season, I splurged on a fancy hand cream from Japanese brand, kyo miori Koisuru Tamahada. There’s one for every month, and though I wanted March, the cherry blossom scent, it was sold out, and I bought February that had a cherry blossom design on the cover. The February scent isn’t quite as strong as I assume the March scent would have been. Frankly, I fell in love with the lovely packaging. The hand cream is lightweight and is delicately scented. It wouldn’t be emollient enough for winter, but it’s fine for now. A splurge at $20.
So I’ve been enveloping myself in cherry blossoms this spring. What about you?
I need to go throw some old spritz perfumes under my bathroom sink and pick up a few new scents for spring .. I’ve doing a lot of clean out (closet, as you know) and just taking a lil break from all the clean out madness .. lol.

I love cherry blossoms and these products sound heavenly! I used a Bath and Body Works Cherry Blossom scent and it gave me a headache and made me sneeze; I’m feeling like perhaps I could try a better, more luxe product like you’ve mentioned with the scent to see how I like it!

The Rituals Foaming Shower Gel is so delicately scented and it’s an amazing shower gel. I recommend it, and it comes in other scents if you feel that you want to stay away from cherry blossom. Spritz the tester of the Instyle ActivESSENCE Fragrance Mist at CVS or Walgreens and check it out! I find it to be very subtle
so glad the cherry blossoms have finally come for you!! I have been loving on Bath and Body works Cherry Blossom lotion that I got for Mother’s Day!! 🙂

I love the smell of Cherry Blossoms so I may have to pick up some of these items. Oh and that Cherry Blossom tree is gorgeous!

I really recommend the Instyle ActivESSENCE Fragrance Mist that you can pick up for a song at CVS or Walgreen’s. Also, the Rituals Cosmetics Foaming Shower Gel in Cherry Blossom and other scents is only $15 and it lasts forever. Today, Ebates has a 15% rebate at Barney’s where I bought my Rituals products 🙂
I know Rituals as a pretty pricey brand so I’m pleasantly surprised to see that can is only $15. I’m not sure where I can purchase Rituals in Canada though, might need to source for it online.

Rituals Foaming Shower Gel is so much fun and smells so great. It comes in several different scents but I love cherry blossom so much, I bought another. Definitely recommend it!

I like cherry blossom scents that fall a bit on the sweeter side, but haven’t used much other than a Calgon body mist. The Rituals shower gel sounds really interesting.
