Lucky Chick Lip Love Treatment

Lucky Chick Lip Love Lip Treatment is one of those cosmetics that I received a couple of months ago in my Ipsy Boxycharm box that I didn’t give much thought to. In fact, when I took it out of the box, I sort of groaned because I must have about a million lip balms.

But I was wrong to be so dismissive. This is my all-time favorite jarred lip balm! I’m not kidding.

Although it didn’t come with a scoop, I have plenty. So, no problem there.

The peach-colored balm is flavored with Sweet Vanilla, and in the jar, it smells like a sugar cookie. But once on your lips, the vanilla scent dissipates in a flash. And on my lips, the peach-color is invisible.

What I most love about Lucky Chick Lip Love are the following:

  • how easy it is to apply: this is not a stiff, hard balm; it is very soft, creamy and spreads easily
  • how smooth it is: some balms are grainy, not Lucky Chick; it’s smooth as satin
  • how hydrating it is: this balm begins to work on contact
  • although it feels thick and juicy, it’s not overly sticky
  • how long lasting it is: it clings to lips and seemingly lasts almost all day (if you don’t eat a lot)
  • how it seals in the moisture!

Frankly, I wondered if something was wrong with me because I had such an amazingly positive reaction to this lip treatment. In fact, I would rate it right up there with my long-time favorite lip treatment City Lips. You know, that’s really saying something because I LOVE City Lips!

But I read through the reviews, and they were also exceptionally positive. All 5s with one or two 4 ratings, and they both said they loved it. Take a look and see for yourself here. For example, the head makeup artist on the new version of the “Frasier” TV show said that she always uses it on her clients on the set, and they love it as well. Honestly, it’s a love fest! I’m sorry I didn’t try this product sooner because this would have been a well-appreciated stocking stuffer, but consider it for a small Galentine’s Day gift after you get it for yourself!

  1. I know just what you mean about being dismissive about certain products– I think that happens with beauty boxes a lot because we end up with so many popular types of products, like lip balms. It makes it very difficult to give each item a proper testing. I have so many lip balms in drawers, pockets and purses that many often go bad before I finish them! I am making note of this one, however, because it is your favorite lip balm in a pot, I know that I will like it a lot!

It’s better than Laneige? Okay. I MUST TRY IT!!!!

    1. For me, it’s 100% percent better than Laneige, but I was never a true fan of the Laneige 😉
