I just realized that I wrote about the Luster Premium White 2 Minute White kit here in May 2016, but the packaging has changed and the way I use it has changed a bit too. My original post has all the details, so check it out.
Here’s what the 2 Minute White teeth whitening kit looks like now three years later. There’s been an outer packaging change.
The kit includes:
- Prep step: Brush your teeth with either the Luster Power White Pro Sonic Dental Whitening Toothbrush (I wrote about it here in the AM/PM Toothpaste kit) or your own sonic or manual toothbrush with Luster AM/PM Toothpaste or your own toothpaste
- Step 1: Neutralizing Cleanser: an Accelerant minty blue rinse that you swish for 10-15 seconds to further prepare your teeth
- Step 2: Correct Whitening Serum: Shake the tube for 3-5 seconds to mix. Use the built-in brush to paint the Stain Lifting Serum onto the surface of each tooth that you wish to whiten. Avoid your lips, gums and tongue as the serum that can a little tingly. Wait 20 seconds for the serum to dry before it comes in contact with your lips or other parts of your mouth.
Now, you can stop there if you wish. However, I have a Luster Premium White Pro Light that I wrote about here. I put my lips around the plastic housing surrounding the light, and it accelerates the whitening process. Takes 2 minutes and so easy to do!
In fact, I use the 2 Minute Whitening Kit as a replacement for the Neutralizing Cleanser and Whitening Serum that came in my original Pro Light kit that I used up. Nevertheless, you can use the 2 Minute White kit on its own and still see whiter teeth. I did. Here are my original results with the 2 Minute Whitening Kit alone.
The 2 Minute White kit (as well as most of the other kits) includes a tooth color chart so you can chart your progress.
The kit claims 6 shades whiter teeth in 3 days. I’m not sure it’s quite that fast, but in a few days, my teeth were visibly whiter. The MSRP of the 2 Minute White Dental Whitening Treatment & Refill Kit is $13.99.
Also, I have never had any sensitivity to any of Luster Premium White products I’ve used, and my teeth are super-sensitive. In fact, I had to stop using Creast and Colgate teeth whitening strips because they hurt my teeth so much. I was so happy to find gentle but effective, dentist-created Luster Premium White kits!

I have sensitive teeth as well. Their products are good, and I find them very effective on sensitive teeth.

LOL, Kathleen! I’ve had good results with Luster over the past 4 years. I use it, then fall off the wagon, snd then go back and start again. This kit and the Pro Light are my faves. LMK what you think!
WOW! I wonder how it whitens without sensitivity? My teeth are crazy sensitive, so I stopped using whitening strips and kits.

Unfortunately, Jen, I don’t know what Luster Premium White does differently but it definitely works for me. I have unbelievably sensitive teeth. The pain from Crest and Colgate strips was unbearable, even their “sensitive teeth strips”. The Luster Neutralizing Cleanser and Correcting Serum are very gentle for me. It’s so affordable that it may be worth trying for you at some point.
Have you ever reviewed Thrive mascara? I’d be interested to know what you think of it.

But it does give my lashes oomph. Jeanette, I’m so sorry it took me so long to reply. I went away for the weekend, and didn’t take my laptop, and I totally unplugged. I didn’t know that Luster Premium White had a link for a free sample. I just went to their website now to see if I could find the offer you mentioned, and it’s not there. Now they have a buy one get one free offer through Nov. 3, I think. I’m not sure I understand the offer either because it says “add all items to your cart and get the lowest cost item free”. Usually B1G1 means, buy an item and get a second one free. Odd! I would also check Walgreens and Target for coupons and sales. 🙂
I’ve never used these products because usually with my sensitive teeth they’re a no go. However, I’ll have to give this one a try.

I tried so many of the different whitening strips kits, and the pain was excruciating – I gave up on all of them. I should have scrutinized the difference in the ingredients in the strips vs. the ingredients that Luster Premium White uses in their products, but I have no pain whatsoever, and my teeth come away several shades lighter. I think it’s good stuff
