Marcia’s Review of Versed Smooth Landing Eye Balm

In writing this review of Versed Smooth Landing Eye Balm, I want you to know that I am a certified eye cream addict. I need to join Eyecream Anonymous but I won’t. I keep searching for the perfect eye product and since this mania doesn’t hurt anyone other than my wallet I think it’s safe.

Versed Smooth Landing Retinoid Eye Balm isn’t a cream but it fits into that category since the purpose of it is to help soften crow’s feet and firm up the undereye area. Just the texture of it is different since it’s a thick solid balm. As thick as it is, it glides on while it softly melts into the delicate skin around your eyes. It’s very hydrating and I wake with eyes that feel moisturized.

This is a nighttime balm because of the retinoid in it plus IMO it doesn’t play well with foundation or concealer. Your undereye area should be protected by a sunscreen during the day instead.

Website information about ingredients: Granactive retinoida gentler, less irritating form of retinolreforms texture to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet (and may even help reduce milia—those tiny, flesh-colored bumps that commonly appear around the eyes). This eye balm also features shiitake mushroom extract to support the skin’s moisture barrier, and nourishing antioxidants like vitamin E and black currant seed oil to help protect against premature signs of aging while moisturizing the delicate skin around your eyes.”

I apply this with my finger. The small jar is just big enough for my finger to pick up a layer though I know I’ll need a scoop when it gets more used up. But, for me at least, this has lasted a very long time. I’m on my first jar and have been for 8 months. I use other eye creams but Versed Landing is used about 3 times a week.

For $17.99 at Target and $19.99 on Versed’s website it’s a bargain that you can’t miss if you are part of my “anonymous” group or even if you aren’t as addicted. There aren’t many under $20 skincare items that I love and that last and last. Plus it’s vegan and cruelty-free. It’s the Energizer Bunny of eye products keeping my eyes smooth and protected.

I purchased this at Target. Here are the balm’s complete ingredient list:

  1. Marcia, I am intrigued by the balm form of this night time eye cream! It seems quite unique. I’m wondering if Sephora still carries Versed because they would have samples?
