When Allison suggested we each pick 5 skincare favorites from 2021 I expected trouble since I’d used so many wonderful products. But I walked in my bathroom and there out on my counter were the ones I use all the time. These are either new favorites or ones that have remained steadfast for me for several years but were rebought in 2021.
Starting with my favorite ever moisturizer: The Better Skin Co. Mirakle Cream. This is the product I turn to when my skin is dry. It is a fabulous moisturizer for me and one I’ve used for 3 years. I bought a new one for 2022 and have used it very often when I’m not testing others. As soon as I start seeing dry patches appear I’ll take this out instantly and within 2 days my skin is soft and moisturized again. It can be found on Amazon and on their website where they often have sales. Genius in a Jar. One-stop, skin-loving, problem-solving, all-purpose cream. This ingredient rich recipe, imported from the Republic of Uzbekistan, is handcrafted in the USA with love and beautiful ingredients such as coconut oil, sea buckthorn, shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe, and soothing algae to help moisturize the skin. Peptides and hyaluronic acid help skin appear smoother, more youthful and radiant.
Surprisingly I didn’t share my 2021 favorite eye cream first. I have more eye creams and gels than you can imagine but when all is said and done it’s belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb that is the winner. After reading many of Allison’s articles raving about this eye bomb I knew I had to try it. And I agree with her. It’s the bomb. I’m on my first jar but will buy another when this is done. A lightweight, refreshing eye cream that smooths fine lines with a 26-hour burst of moisture, boosts elasticity and increases the resilience of the skin for flawless makeup application. Formulated with hydrating herb, comfrey leaf, and elasticity-boosting pennywort herb, the Moisturizing Eye Bomb provides a flood of intensive moisture for radiant and youthful-looking eyes. Available at Sephora, Ulta and Amazon.
I have many many serums to choose from so I picked a long time favorite that I rebought this year, IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Lines Serum, and a new serum that I’ve been using for just a few months, Sacheu Thick Skin. I’ve used the IT Bye Bye Lines Serum for years and have probably finished 5. I buy a new one (or two) every year since it’s my go-to serum. I can’t pinpoint what I like so much about this except maybe it’s gentle citrus scent and the fact that my skin responds so well to it. Even though I bought one in the fall it seems to be discontinued but my two backups will suit me for this year. Then I’ll try Bye Bye Lines Hyaluronic Acid Serum. In 2021 I was sent Sacheu Thick Skin and was instantly wowed by it. It is totally different than all my serums because of the texture. It’s thick and enveloping. It works well with a thinner serum under it too so I usually use it that way. To double the effect use their Gua Sha Stainless Rollers. But even without the rollers it’s skin loving.
Last but not least is the Vasanti Brighten Up Exfoliator. She lives in my shower and I use it every other day. My pores have never looked clearer. I need such a tiny amount that the tube will surely last me 6 months. My nose is where I have the most complaints but those pores look better and better with each use. Our Triple Action powerful treatment scrub gives you: Brightening, exfoliating and cleansing with results that mimic professional microdermabrasion without the potential for redness, irritation or sensitivity.
These are my favorites for 2021, I wonder what changes 2022 will make. – Marcia
Hi Marcia, and welcome! My esthetician daughter gave me two bottles of the Sacheu Thick Skin serum last year, along with a Gua Sha tool, and I love them both! The serum feels SOOOO comfortable and moisturizing on the skin, especially during dry, cold winter weather. She really likes this brand….. Glad to see you agree 🙂
Hi Kim, I love both the Gua Sha tool and the serum. So happy to read that your esthetician daughter recommends it since I like it so much.

What fantastic picks, Marcia! I also really love Vasanti Exfoliator and The Mirakle Cream. I have wanted to try the belif eye cream, and the fact that you and Allison both love it so much REALLY makes me want to try it out!

Allison recommended the belif so many times that I had to have it and I’m so glad I took her advise. The Vasanti Exfoliator is a gem. And I adore Mirakle Cream. I stopped using it for a while and had a very dry area that only calmed down with The Better Skin Co. Mirakle Cream.

I’m honing in on those serums! I love using serums and I know IT cosmetics makes some great products. I’ll always remember their O2 foundation and wish it never left. I need to look into that Sacheu one!
I was so disappointed to just find out that IT doesn’t have this serum any more but I’ve bought so many that I have at least two awaiting me. Next good sale though I’ll buy the Hyaluronic Acid one. Sacheu is a gem~~

The name Thick Skin really describes it. I use it at night since it is so thick and so different than all others. Love it.

I’ve never tried any of these! Onto my list they go!
You’d be making wise choices by buying any of these. I have more skincare than anyone can imagine and these 5 stand out the most.
