Ipsy is sending out the monthly Plus glam bag a little earlier in the month these days. I got my May “Get That Glow” bag a few days ago.
The makeup bag is really cute this month. It looks like the glow of the sun as it rises or sets in the sky. And the shape is a little different too. I like it 🙂
Here’s what I got this month:
- MUDMASKY Aftermask Vitamin Serum: When I first saw this when I opened my box, I thought, oh no, a mud mask. I certainly have been jumping to conclusions, wrong conclusions, lately. Fortunately, this is not a mud mask. It’s an after mask serum. It’s a lightweight gel-cream packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and seaweed extracts that is like a wonderful drink of water for my skin, not just after a mask but anytime. $52.86
- Wander Clear Brow Gel: Duh, what is wrong with me? I think it is since I got my cataracts removed, and I can no longer read things up close, I can’t see. Jeff teases me and says I should wear a pair of reading glasses on a chain around my neck. No way. But as a result, I make mistakes. I thought I got another tube of Wander Mascara (I got one in my bag a few months ago, and it didn’t suit my wonky lashes.) Thankfully, I took a look at the Ipsy website, and I saw that it is Clear Brow Gel. Now that I can use! $22
- Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint, shade Front Row : I have received two mini sizes of Tarte Lip Paint back when I subscribed to Sephora Play and the regular Ipsy bag, so I already know that I cannot wear this matte liquick lipstick. My lips are just too dry. However, the shade, Front Row, a deep mauve, is gorgeous. I will put it aside and give it away in a giveaway in the hopefully not too distant future (I haven’t been going to the post office or anywhere lately.) $20
- Girlactik Skin Glow Duo, shade Sunset: I have only worn makeup a handful of times in the past 10 weeks, but I couldn’t resist this lovely duo of highlighters. I expected them to be powder highlighters, but they’re something different: sort of a cream, sort of an oily powder?? Heck, I don’t know what they are made of, but they are so smooth, creamy and lightweight. I did a quick swatch of them both: a peach that they call Coral and Champagne. Gorgeous shades, both, but there was so little light left that they didn’t really show up in the photo. Oh well. $26
- Colored Raine Mimosa Moment Eyeshadow Palette: An exclusive to Ipsy Plus, this compact palette with earthy neutrals with 4 matte and 4 shimmer shades is a highly usable palette. It has a nice built-in mirror. I think this will be a great palette for summer. Hope I will have an opportunity to wear it!! $22
The total for my May 2020 Get That Glow Ipsy Plus box is $142.86. I paid $25 plus tax. Another great value for the money 🙂
I’m sad that I can’t wear the Tarte Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint because the shade, Front Row, is great. But hopefully, it will soon-ish go to someone who will enjoy and use it.

This is an impressive bag. I like the makeup bag itself since it’s not flimsy. The value is great. I’d set aside the Tarte for a giveaway too but the rest I’d try.

That bag is super cute and I also like the shape of it. I would have to skip on the Wander Beauty brow gel though, Wander Beauty products just do not last on me. KVD products don’t either so I’m wondering if something in my pH just doesn’t get along with their formulas.
