It’s late, so this will be a quick review tonight.
Although I seemed to have stopped reviewing my Ipsy/Boxycharm boxes that I get every two months, I still find gems in the boxes.
If you are tired of thick, sticky lipglosses, check out Mellow Lip Gloss. You’ll be amazed! Mellow Lip Gloss is super-lightweight, and has a unique smooth feel. The gloss is glossy without being overly shiny. It’s moisturizing without being thick and gooey.
It contains Vitamin E, shea butter and avocado oil. The gloss is cruelty-free, vegan and paraben-free.
Mellow Lip Gloss has no fragrance or taste. It doesn’t leave lots of gloss on glassware if I have a drink. Nice.

You can wear it on its own (it’s opaque), or layer it over lipstick. I primarily wear Santorini on its own.
Mellow Lip Gloss comes in 4 shades named after beach vacation destinations:
- Santorini: peach with a pink twist on me
- St. Tropez: mauve with a neutral brown twist
- Tahiti: clear with a sparkle
- Palm Springs: pale nude with a peach twist
The lip gloss also comes in two bundles: a Holiday bundle (3 shades) and the Mellow Mauve Lip Kit (mauve lip gloss plus a matching lipliner), both discounted on the Mellow website.
Mellow Lip Gloss has an angled, oval shaped applicator. It’s easy to apply.
Santorini is a good shade for me. Though it is described by the brand as peach, on me it looks more pinky. I would describe it as Shell Pink. A very nice shade for spring and summer! I’m surprised that, on me, it doesn’t feather or bleed into lip lines. Plus, it lasts for hours. Quite a surprising lip gloss!!

Mellow is a new-to-me brand, but it was started by its founder, Ima from Australia, after the birth of her first son in 2014. Ten years old. Where have I been? The brand has 72 products in its range!
Mellow Cosmetics is sold in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. It’s sold on the Mellow website and at leading retailers. In fact, Mellow Lip Gloss is sold at Macy’s and Nordstrom (where their only shade Palm Springs is 15% off right now), so I’m really surprised that I haven’t seen it in-store. It’s also sold on Amazon, though it’s slightly more expensive at $19.80.
That’s a great color on you. I don’t see it as pink but more of a coral/peach. Enjoy wearing it.
