Weekly Roundups

Mid-April 2018 Fashion Flash

This is a hectic week for me. Monday was my birthday, and I had lunch and hung out with my friend Kim and her daughter Emma. Then Jeff brought me pink roses and a beautiful matching birthday cake and then took me out for a lobster and sushi dinner. Although it was pouring rain all day long, it was a lovely day nonetheless.

Also, I’m trying to start packing for our trip to Amsterdam later this week. I’ve gotta get on the ball!

Too much fun stuff going on, so I fell down at getting up a blogpost for today.

But here’s the mid-April weekly roundup from the lifestyle, beauty, health and wellness, travel, fashion, midlife bloggers of Fashion Flash. The lovely and talented makeup artist, Sheila from Painted Ladies, is our host for this week. Head off to her blog, and take a look. Sheila is attending the Race To Erase MS in Los Angeles this week, and she’ll tell you all about it. I can hardly wait to see her gown!

Other posts include:

  • rhinoplasty or nose surgery
  • getting on a path to better self-care
  • how to choose the right sunscreen
  • at-home spa products from the Golden Door

Allison, I meant to send you a message yesterday wishing you a great birthday. Love the roses and matching cake. Dick loved roses…especially pink or yellow…and always gifted me with them. When Kim was young he would always make sure there was a rose of a different color in the bouquet. Hope the nasty weather won’t delay your plane.

    1. Thank you, Sandy! I’m so glad that your husband gave you roses, and I love the unique tradition that he had. <3
