We’re already more than halfway through January in the new year 2021. Late this afternoon (Monday), Jeff and I fired up the fire pit and asked one of my good friends to join us socially distanced around the fire. We noticed that at 5pm, it was still not dark out, and that was a good sign that things are moving in the right direction. Although it was 35 degrees outside, we had a wonderful visit. We ended up spending almost three hours around the fire, in spite of the cold. When my friend suggested that she should head home, Jeff and I talked her out of it. It was so terrific to spend time with a friend. I hope she wasn’t blue with cold!
