This week was indentured servitude in my garden and yard. Oh my, so much to do this season. I’m trying to minimize some of the grass especially in my backyard that used to be full sun but not is deep shade and part sun. The oaks and evergreens have grown so tall over 20 years, and they cast their shadows on the lawn and gardens. As a result, I always have to rake out the moss which tries to take over the entire yard. Now, I am digging out the compost from my compost pile made of leaves, grass clippings and fruit and veggie scraps. It’s hard work, but I hope it will be worth it. I’m hoping the new grass seed will do its thing!
