For months, I was literally on the hunt for Milani Limited Edition Coming Up Roses Blush. I saw it in the late spring or early summer, I believe, on a West Coast blogger’s blog, and I had to have it. She had purchased it at Walgreen’s, so all summer I went to every Walgreen’s I encountered, near where I live or anywhere I traveled. No go.
Fortunately, I was hired to conduct a market research study for Milani, and no shrinking violet, I asked them if they could get me one. And they were nice enough to oblige. In fact, I think they made one for me because they were sold out! I was beyond grateful. I just love this blush. I loved it way before I knew anyone at Milani LOL!
So imagine my surprise when I went into my local CVS this past weekend (end of October), and tucked away with a few other limited editions from other brands was the Milani Coming Up Roses display. The special edition blush comes in four shades:
- Romantic Rose – a mauve that I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen
- Floral Passion – a peachy-pink or coral/pink
- Warm Petals – a golden bronze with a bit of shimmer
- Bella Rosa – a warm, true pink, also a shade I haven’t seen.
They are selling fast. In fact, there were only two Floral Passion and two Warm Petals left on the display at the big CVS near me. So act fast, if these beauties appeal to you. Also, I think they’d make a nice little gift for a makeup lover!
This powder blush is highly pigmented, and a little goes a long way. It’s buildable, but I haven’t seen the need to build it. But I put more on for the photo so you could see it on me, especially under the artificial light (sorry).
The Milani Coming Up Roses Blush comes in a large compact, 0.6 oz., and it’s almost 3 inches across, embossed with a lovely, three-dimensional rose. The price at CVS is $9.49, but another blogger reported they were $6.49 at Meijer’s. Huge price disparity, if that’s true! But if you want it, it is what it is, and it’s affordable at either price. They may be available at select CVS, Walgreen’s, Meijer’s, and Fred Meyers. I haven’t seen them on the Milani website yet.
I love this product. If you can find it, buy it!

Oh, bummer .. I was in CVS this weekend and didn’t see any special displays for this blush. I guess it will make it’s appearance soon.

I’m not sure what the story is with this adorable limited edition. I heard it was in the stores in August, but not in my area. I was actually surprised when I saw it last week. Worth a look when you’re in the store. It’s so cute and it’s a lovely blush that will last forever ‘coz it’s so big 🙂
