Milani, one of my favorite makeup brands, has just launched a contest: “What Do Your Lips Say About You?”. The first round of the contest kicked off on May 6, but it goes till May 25 at 11:59PM, so there’s plenty of time to enter. What’s required is a photo of you with a lip look of your own design that really shows off your own unique personality and a creative hashtag that you come up with to describe yourself and your look that they call “an eloquent self-expressing hashtag”. Shouldn’t be too hard to do that!
So what’s the prize, you ask? The Grand Prize is $2000 in cash plus $1000 in Milani swag (I’m assuming that means makeup plus other adorable Milani stuff, maybe like the adorable lips makeup bags I own??). In addition, the first 500 entries will receive one of Milani’s fabulous Color Statement lipsticks. I adore them! I have about 10 different shades, and their Best Red really is one of the all-time best reds. 🙂
A panel of judges selected by Milani will choose 12 finalists to enter Round 2 of the Contest based on the originality of their lip-look as well as their skill. Each finalist will receive $150 worth of Milani product and be asked to create a full lip-focused look using Milani Cosmetics. Cosmetics provided will include Color Statement Lipstick, Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss, Baked Blush, Even Touch Powder Foundation, Cream to Powder, Liquid Eye Eyeliner, Runway Lashes, Eye Tech Extreme and more.
On June 30, 2014, the 12 finalists will release the Milani lip-inspired makeup look they created. In Round 2, the general public will get to do the voting, and each person is allowed one vote per day. The person with the winning look will receive $2,000 in cash and $1,000 worth of Milani cosmetics, while the runner-up will receive $500 in Milani products.

Once the finalist are chosen for Round 2, their entries will be available for you to vote on at the Contest tab/application at https://www.facebook.com/Milani. I love Milani’s lipsticks. Frankly, they are among the lippies that I use most often. My personal favorites are:
- Color Statement Lipsticks: Naturally Chic (nude), Best Red, Plumrose, and Rosehip
- Power Lip, an opaque cross between a liquid lipstick and a gloss: Macaron: the lipstick I wear most often of any lip product on the market!
- Lip Intense: a featherweight, long-lasting liquid lipstick with shades that pack a real punch!
- Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss: Red My Lips with just enough color and a non-sticky formula

I love Milani blushes. I am always drawn to them whenever I go to the drugstore. The quality really impresses me. I don’t think I have ever tried any of their lip products but your reviews tempt me to change that.
