Usually, I prefer lipstick. But I just tried the new shades of Mirabella Colour Luxe Lip Gloss for summer 2015, and I think I have become a lipgloss convert!
In December, I got to try one of the Colour Luxe Lip Gloss shades in a beautiful rose gold shimmer that was perfect for the holidays and beyond. Milrabella recently added three new shades of Colour Luxe Lip Gloss to their existing collection of 9 shimmer shades, all of which are designed to work with all skin tones . To my surprise, they arrived last week in my mailbox!
The three lovely new shades are:
- Sleek, an almost but not quite opaque mauve
- Polish, a sheer MLBB girly pink
- Glossed, a sheer coral that looks great atop many of my coral summer lipsticks.
They are all beautiful, but I prefer more color so the gorgeous mauve, Sleek, is my favorite. In fact, I’ve been wearing it a ton since it arrived.
Though the collection is described as shimmery, I also found Sleek to be less shimmery than the others but still shiny, and that works for me.
What sets Mirabella Colour Luxe Lip Gloss apart is the luxuriously nourishing and moisturizing formula with jojoba and monoi oils (a form of coconut oil from Tahiti) plus vitamins A, C and E, antioxidants, to help protect against environmental damage. The lip gloss also contains peptides that stimulate collagen production and help restore fuller, hydrated and more youthful-looking lips. And who doesn’t need that? Me, me, me! So Mirabella Colour Luxe Lip Gloss gives me luminous color while also giving me the benefits of anti-aging skincare.
But what I also really love about Mirabella Colour Luxe Lip Gloss is that, even though it’s incredibly hydrating, it isn’t sticky! I can wear it on a windy day! It goes on with a flexible doe-foot applicator that makes precise application easy, and it kind of magically settles onto my lips and stays put.
It doesn’t migrate, it doesn’t dry down completely, but it’s just not sticky. After a couple of hours, it does fade a bit, but particularly with the more pigmented Sleek, the mauve color remains on my lips. Plus, my lips still feel amazingly moisturized. I really love this formula!!
For those of you who are scent-sitive, Mirabella Colour Luxe Lip Gloss has a faint vanilla scent that varies somewhat from shade to shade (in my experience), and it disappears almost immediately.

These are really pretty! I usually like lip stick too but have gotten in the habit of putting a matching gloss over it at times. It might be fun to layer the lighter shades with a matching lip stick or liner. 🙂
Thank you, Natalie! I am in love with Sleek, the deeper one that I can wear on its own. But I have been doing just as you suggest with the peach colored one. It looks great over my coral lipsticks! I haven’t tried it over a lipliner, but that’s a great idea 🙂 These lip glosses are amazing because they’re not sticky but they are sooooooo hydrating. It’s a very nice collection 🙂

I haven’t tried Mirabella Beauty since I received one of their products in an Ipsy bag years ago. These sound really nice! If you like these, you might also like the Juice Beauty lip glosses. Have you tried them? They’re also not sticky in the slightest. And they have a fruity scent!

These shades are absolutely stunning. I think I want them all. I am really likely the fun summery shade that are super subtle. I have only tried a few of their lip glosses and liked them a lot, looks like a few more to add to my stash.

They are on the pricey side, but I noticed that Skincare by Alana that carries Mirabella often has 20% off coupons that I need to remember for future purchases. I haven’t found too many non-sticky glosses so these stand out for me.

These look so moisturizing. My husband bought a convertible and I’ve stopped using gloss if I think he’s going to drive with the top down. But I could still apply this when we got to our destination!!

I have an ancient Miata, Marcia, but it’s been so cold here that I haven’t done a top down test with these glosses yet. They are not sticky, but wearing them in a convertible…well, I’ll let you know 😉

I don’t believe that Mirabella sells in stores so I’m not surprised that you don’t know it, Lisa. It’s a prestige indie brand, cruelty-free that is sold via their own website as well as on other websites that sell high-end cosmetics. I really like the products I’ve tried so far.
