The packaging for the 7th Heaven masks kind of reminds me of the cereal boxes I used to read while eating breakfast as a kid. So much to look at and read, lol! I love the look of them. Their packaging rocks!

The 7th Heaven Coconut Cream Deep Moisture Boost Hydrating Mask smells nice, more like real coconut than like coconut baked goods. The mask is white and very creamy. I put it on and then took a bath. For me, the pouch contained enough for about two masks though I assume it was meant for one usage occasion. After I put what I thought was a thick amount on, I had to apply more because my skin appeared to drink it up. I left the mask on for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.

So how did the 7th Heaven Coconut Cream Hydrating Mask work for me? My bad, because I didn’t look at the ingredients before slathering it on my face. The first two ingredients after water in the ingredient list are kaolin and bentonite.

My sometimes sensitive and seriously dry skin doesn’t do particularly well with clay at this point in my life. Even though this mask seems to include plenty of hydrating ingredients: glycerin, shea butter, coconut water, and cocoa seed butter, they couldn’t overcome my skin’s finickiness when it comes to clay. Oh well, I will give away the other two packs to someone who can enjoy them.

Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Coconut Cream Deep Moisture Boost Hydrating Mask contains 0.5 fl. oz./15 ml and is priced around $2. It’s sold at Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, Harmon, Kmart, and Ulta among others. 7th Heaven products include peel-off and self-heating masks, sheet masks as well as other masks and treatment products for feet and nose area, all made with natural ingredients. Check out the 7th Heaven website for more information on the entire product line. Cruelty-free, Leaping Bunny certified. I really want to try the foot products next!

  1. My skin is too sensitive and dry for clay masks. I hate sheet masks but they are the best for me.

    1. I guess the same for me, Sandy! Not long ago, I tried a self-heating powder bentonite mask that I mix with water that worked well for me, surprisingly. And I can use the chemical exfoliators with no problem. There’s something about kaolin that just sucks the moisture out of my face these days, boo. Sorry it’s the same for you, but at least we know 😉

    2. Sandy, I forgot about this. The best cream (non-sheet) masks for my dry skin are from Farmhouse Fresh. Have you tried any of them? Here are the hydrating ones: http://www.farmhousefreshgoods.com/mask-hydrate.html I also love the exfoliating Pudding Apeel mask from FHF that smells delicious and leaves my skin smooth. I love the Quick Recovery set of 3 sample size jars that last me forever with hydrating Guac Star, exfoliating Pudding Apeel, and the third one Organic Pumpkin Radiance Booster has bentonite (but no kaolin) in it so I don’t have a problem with it.

  2. I actually have a stack of these masks in my office to try and you just reminded me that I haven’t! I’m excited to see how they work with my skin!

    1. I hope you enjoy them, Christine. Eager to hear your thoughts!

  3. Too bad these didn’t work for you. I like almost all masks, clay included.

    1. Yes, I was disappointed that my skin is a little too sensitive for clay especially kaolin. I need to try the sheet masks and the foot products instead. But I think you’d enjoy this one, so creamy and smells so good!

  4. It’s rather odd that they would call a clay mask “Deep Moisture Boost Hydrating”. Hmm no, the people creating the formula should realize that a clay-based mask is by definition not hydrating. Adding moisturizing ingredients can make it less drying. But it’s never going to feel hydrating on dry skin! I have the same problem as you with clay/mud masks so I have started to avoid them. Even charcoal masks now tend to dry out my skin.

    1. I can’t do charcoal masks either. And I agree with you about clay. When I heard Coconut Cream Hydrating Mask, I did not think it would be a clay mask – I thought probably tapioca flour. I should have done online and looked at the ingredient list before having it sent. I would’ve chosen one of their sheet masks instead. Next time!

  5. I have similar sensitivity issues with clay masks as well. My skin seems to be angry after the – I just figured it was a brand I shouldn’t use. Glad to hear maybe it’s just not for me.

    1. Kristi, I didn’t realize that the Coconut Cream Hydrating Mask was a clay mask when it was being sent to me, or I would have asked to try something else. My bad, I should have gone to the website and looked at the ingredient list. They have a slew of sheet masks that would have been better for my skin. Next time! And also their foot products look terrific. So, those of us with skin sensitive to clay may need to avoid the clay masks, but they have other products that look very intriguing and they’re natural, cruelty-free and affordable.

  6. The coconut is a clay mask? It looks like it should be so moisturizing. I can use a clay mask once in a while but not too often. I used one today actually since I had some tiny whiteheads I wanted to clear up.

    1. Yes, I didn’t realize that it was clay – both kaolin & bentonite – when I chose it. Glad that you can do clay from time to time because it is useful and effective.

  7. It’s been so long since I’ve tried a 7th heaven mask!

    1. This was my first one. I need to try the sheet masks. I have been intrigued by them because of their packaging for ages. I didn’t realize they were natural and cruelty-free till I tried it.

  8. I haven’t tried anything from them in ages, I should pick up a few things next time I’m at Walmart.

    1. Yes! I love the fact that they’re natural and CF.

  9. I haven’t tried these guys in forever.

  10. Don’t think I can find these in Sweden, but I recently started using different sheetmasks and a really happy with that.

  11. 7th Heaven Masks are great. I have a whole pile of them that I need to use!

    1. That’s great, Helen! If there are any sheet masks in the pile, I’ll be curious to see what you think! I need to try some of the non-clay ones

  12. Shame that this mask didn’t work for you, Allison! I don’t mind this brand and have tried a couple of their masks. Pretty good considering the low price.

    1. I’m glad that you’ve enjoyed the 7th Heaven masks, Shireen! I will just know to stay away from the clay masks next time. I’d love to try the sheet masks and the foot products. Natural, cruelty-free, affordable – I think they’re amazing. I know I’ll find some that my skin will enjoy!

  13. I’m so sorry you had an ill reaction to this mask. It sounds like it would be heavenly otherwise.

    1. It was just my dry, finicky skin, Katie. I haven’t been able to use most clay masks for a few years now, and I didn’t realize when I was being sent the Coconut Cream Hydrating Mask that it would have two kinds of clay in it. Nevertheless, I love that 7th Heaven is natural, cruelty-free and affordable so I’d love to try the sheet masks, foot products or other masks if they are clay-free. I think the brand is definitely worth getting to know

  14. I love how affordable these are! You can’t beat 2 bucks!

    1. Absolutely right!
