I Bought This, Affiliate Links
Since the holiday season became such a time for deep discounts, I do most of my own shopping now. So when Soma Intimates had their 25% off sitewide sale during Cyber Week, I decided to buy a couple more Cool Nights Sleep Shirts.
I bought another black 3/4 sleeve because that will work for me for much of the year.
The only other 3/4 sleeve sleepshirt that Soma has right now is a low scoop neck version with buttons on the front in a windowpane plaid design. The windowpane option is made from a knit fabric that is 57% cotton, 38% modal, and 5% spandex. For some reason, the windowpane sleepshirt looks more form-fitting on the model than the black version with the V-neck. Also, I was concerned that the buttons would hurt because I sleep on my stomach mostly.
So I bought another black one. Just fyi, its fabric is 93% rayon and 7% spandex.
I decided to take a chance on one of the long sleeve short sleepshirts. I figured if the sleeves were too long, like the sleeves are on my Garnet Hill nightgowns, I could always roll them up a bit.
The animal print V-neck appealed to me most of all the choices. Like the 3/4 sleeve, it has a small breast pocket. Though I don’t put anything in the pocket, it’s a cute detail. When the new sleepshirt arrived, I tried it on immediately and discovered that the sleeves are the right length. Yay!
I love how extremely soft and comfortable the fabric is for both of these Soma sleepshirts. They’re lovely.
For winter, I probably could have used a long sleepshirt so that my legs would stay warmer. But the women modeling the long sleepshirts look so tall compared to me, that I assume the full-length would be too long for a shrimp like me.
So that’s it. If you’re looking for soft sleepwear that doesn’t make you sweat at night, check out Soma’s sleepshirts and pajamas. I think you’d find something you’d like! Soma is still having sales on specific categories: panties, bras, apparel, PJ sets. Most of the sleepshirts are on sale now for 2 for $65. I have a feeling, however, that they will have another sitewide sale before Christmas.
I would definitely get it in black! So cute!
Thanks, Michelle! It is so soft and comfortable!
That’s cute. I need to wear a long gown which is hard to find when you’re short like we are.
That sleepshirt is fab! I do love animal print!
