More Lifted Eyes with PCA Skin Ideal Complex: Revitalizing Eye Gel

I’ve always been happy with my blue eyes (well, except maybe when I got my first pair of ugly sparkly light blue glasses in fifth grade). But the thing that bugs me that as I’ve gotten older the inevitable crow’s feet and sagging have made their presence known. Because I’d like to put off or avoid plastic surgery, if possible, I’m always on the hunt for a good topical eye cream.

When I noticed PCA Skin Ideal Complex: Revitalizing Eye Gel on the Brandbacker opportunity board, I applied instantly. Happily, I was accepted to test out the product for review.

Recently, I heard about PCA Skin via Allure, I think, in an article about skincare products that go to work deep into the layers of the skin. One of PCA Skin’s products was mentioned in the elite list of products that go to work where they can do the most good. That sealed the deal for me. I could hardly wait to get this skincare product.

PCA Skin Ideal Complex: Revitalizing Eye Gel

PCA Skin Ideal Complex: Revitalizing Eye Gel was developed to treat dark circles, puffiness, wrinkles, and sagging eyelids. What made it stand out for me was that it could be used on eyelids since many eye creams are developed for under eye use. Plus, this gentle gel doesn’t irritate the sensitive, very dry skin on my eyelids and in my crease. Furthermore, the gel form was recommended to me by my aesthetician to prevent the milia that I’m prone to under my eyes.

I love the lightweight gel. I pat it around my eyes, it has a silky texture to it, and it absorbs almost instantly. It has no fragrance. It was developed to work with all skin types, and I believe it.

The list of key ingredients is below, but it contains a blend of peptides, growth factor and stem cell extract. Has it worked? I’ve been using it twice a day since we got back from vacation a couple of weeks ago. When we got back from Arizona, my skin was exceedingly dry and my crow’s feet looked awful – they were so apparent, I could cry. Now my lines and wrinkles look less obvious and the sagging eyelid particularly above my right eye is less droopy. My skin does appear to look firmer and more lifted. BTW, I learned that PCA stands for Physician’s Choice of Arizona, and believe me, you need good, effective skincare in dry, sunny Arizona!

I plan to stick with this terrific Revitalizing Eye Gel from PCA Skin. And I hope to make it last. The tube contains 0.5 fl. oz. and it’s priced at $84, and you can buy it here: http://bit.ly/1OmadNe and get free shipping. For me, it’s definitely worth the splurge. Sounds dreamy but way out of this poor girl’s price range unless I ever win that proverbial lottery. 😉

    1. I know, Laura, it really is pricey – about the same price range (or a little less!) than TATCHA. But it addresses my particular problem – loose skin above my crease – so I’ll see how I feel when I finish it up but I could see me purchasing it.

  2. This sounds heavenly, Allison but the price, ouch. I do agree that skincare is an investment…I’m bookmarking this and maybe, just a maybe I might purchase in the future.

    1. For me, this eye gel was of particular interest because the brand came with the Allure recommendation, it’s a gel and it was developed for use on/above the eyelid. It is definitely pricey – in the same price point as Tatcha. I’m hoping it will last me a while, but I’ll evaluate when I finish it up because it may very well be worth repurchase for me.

  3. I had no idea that Arizona makes your skin so dry but I guess that it makes sense. I’m happy that this eye gel helped you out though.

    1. I’ve never had this bad a reaction to the dry atmosphere, Aleya. It was weird! It was very hot and dry in Scottsdale, and cold, very windy and dry at the Grand Canyon. I’m glad that the skincare products I’ve been piling on since I got home are helping a lot!

  4. I am obsessed with this eye gel. It shocked me how moisturizing it was for a gel. I love PCA!

  5. My SIL recently moved to Arizona and is ready to move back. The heat and dryness aren’t treating her well. I should tell her about this eye gel since it sounds grreat.

    1. I was shocked that my skin reacted so negatively to the dryness in AZ this time. I’ve been to Arizona many times on business, but I spent almost all day every day outdoors so I think that was what made the difference. I should have used a mister throughout the day and reapplied moisturizer and eye cream, but I didn’t. The eye gel is fabulous for all of my particular eye issues. PCA Skin is getting a lot of serious, positive press. Your SIL may like it!

  6. Allison, that mirror compact is lovely! What brand is it? Props aside, of late, I find that some expensive skincare does work better than many of the not-so-pricey options out there. I recently tried a sample of 111Skin eye cream and fell in love but it was some $120 or so for the full size so I didn’t repurchase.

    1. The mirror, Renu, is a cheapy that I bought at the AC Moore craft store for $2! Sorry! I too tried a sample of something from 111Skin and was shocked at the price. This eye gel from PCA is pricey, but so far it ticks all the right boxes for me at this stage of the game.

  7. If I committed to skin care like I should, I’d be so broke, lol. I definitely need to find an eye gel that works for me though!

    1. There are a number of good eye gels out there, Kat, especially for younger skin like yours. Miranda reviewed the OZ Naturals eye gel today that sounds great, and I used one from Insta-Natural that was also very good. More in the $20ish range.

  8. Sounds wonderful but beyond my price range right now.

    1. For me, use on my eyelids and crease is a must so this fit the bill. And I had just been reading about the brand in Allure as one of the skincare brand that uses ingredients that go deep into the layers of the skin and actually work! PCA Skin is a brand worth watching!

  13. Love hearing the great results for your eyes using this eye serum! And the ingredients seem like the latest science breakthroughs for the eye areas, too!

    1. You got it, Ursula!

  14. I always look for creams that can make my eyes look more lifted! I’m not waiting for them to get crepey before I start the treatment 🙂

    1. You are absolutely the most proactive young woman when it comes to skincare. So very smart!

  15. I am the same way with certain states, either my skin gets dry or my hair… either way something gets some kind of weird. lol I have not heard of this brand before, but I’m always loving creams that do similar things as this one. I think the price tag is a big hefty – but if it does the job – sometimes it’s worth it.

    1. I have several really specific issues with regard to my eyes and the skin around my eyes so I was thrilled to discover that PCA Skin Revitalizing Eye Gel was made for the eyelids as well as for more traditional eye problems. I’m trying to use it sparingly. We’ll see how flush I’m feeling when I run out!

  16. That IS expensive but really, only the best for our eyes!

    1. It’s priced maybe a little lower than TATCHA eye creams – so yes, it’s pricey but you’re right about spending on skincare, especially for eyes 🙂

  17. This sounds wonderful. A little pricey – but if it works – I’ll pay up!
