It was the way to make bath time not only tolerable but fun when we were kids and beyond.
But like us, Mr. Bubble has grown up. Though you can still buy the box or the big plastic jug of Mr. Bubble liquid bubble bath for kids, we adults can get the benefits of Mr. Bubble, including the original yummy scent, in new vintage-inspired bath and body products from Luxe by Mr. Bubble.
The Luxe product line looks quite extensive. I was sent four products to try out:

- Original Bubble Milk & Cookies Gift Set
- You’re A Bombshell Bath Bombs Gift Set
- individual Bath Bombs
Unfortunately, I discovered that the overflow pipe in my bathtub isn’t connected to anything, so I have to be careful not to fill my tub too high. Otherwise, it spills down onto my living room ceiling. Ugh. So I can’t take quite the deep, luxurious baths that I’d like to. Nevertheless, I have been enjoying indulging in baths with Luxe by Mr. Bubble.
Luxe Meltaways Bath Candies
The Meltaways are very cool. In fact, they look just like candy meltaways, and they smell divine. They come in Original Bubble and in new scent, Sweet and Clean, that is just that, similar to Original Bubble in sweetness but with a fresh note that makes it distinctive and contemporary. It’s tempting (almost) to pop one in my mouth 😉
The directions say to use 3-6 meltaways in the tub. I’ve settled on using about 4. They melt slowly in the tub releasing not only a wonderful fragrance, but skin conditioning ingredients: cocoa and shea butters as well as skin-loving vitamins E and C. My skin is dry all year round now, but after bathing with Luxe Meltaways, my skin feels so soft and smooth that I don’t need to put on lotion or body butter. In fact, even the next morning, it still feels soft. Impressive.
Each candy-like pouch contains 20 meltaways, so for me, there’s enough for 5 baths. Priced around $8.99-$10

Luxe Original Bubble Milk & Cookies Gift Set
First, I love the packaging of Luxe Milk & Cookies Gift Set and the other collections. They remind me of gifts that I used to receive as a child in the colors and designs of the 1950s and 60s. The attention to vintage detail is fabulous!
The Milk & Cookies box contains Splish Splash Moisturizing Milk Bubble Bath in an adorable plastic milk bottle. This collection is in the Original Bubble scent. The bubble bath makes oodles of fragrant, long lasting bubbles. And it too has skin softening benefits from shea butter, coconut oil and milk protein. It is so much fun to relax in a bubble bath and let my cares go up in bubbles for a little while at least.
The box also comes with two pink Dunk & Fizz Cookie Bath Bombs, larger than the Meltaways and smaller than a traditional Bath Bomb. As they fizz in the water, they slowly release color and scent. They hydrate with shea butter.

The Sweet & Clean Bombshell Bath Bomb Gift Set contains 4 big bath bombs. They smell heavenly, and as they fizz they turn the bathwater a lovely shade of aqua. $15

The Luxe by Mr. Bubble bath and body line includes about 20 different bath additives, body sprays, body butter, body soak, body scrub, bubble bath, and even lip balm, all in charming, retro packaging. The products range in price from about $4-20 with most priced at $10. They’re sold at Ulta Beauty where right now there’s a buy one, get one at 50% off promotion going on. A somewhat smaller selection of the range is sold at Target, where the regular prices are a little less expensive, and there’s currently a “spend $20 and get a $5 gift card” promotion. BTW, there’s also a third scent called Sparkling Sorbet that I found when I looked at the complete product line on the Luxe by Mr. Bubble website.
I think these bath additives and bath and body products from our childhood staple Mr. Bubble, now grown up as Luxe by Mr. Bubble, make adorable gifts (think end of year teacher’s gift, hostess gifts etc.) as well as affordable treats for yourself to help you relax, unwind and moisturize. There are a whole bunch more products including the adorable lip balm tins that I’m dying to try next.

WOW, what a blast from the past! How I loved Mr. Bubble as a little kid! I didn’t even realize that they were still around– let alone making bath products for adults now! I will have to try these!

Ahhhhhh such a nice memory. When my kids were little (now 50 and 45) they would spend so much time in their bubble baths. They would have to sing the whole time when they we’re bathing! Any one remember the little packets of powdered bubble bath when you were little? They came it pastel colors? Childhood memories are the BEST! Jumping rope, playing jacks, flying kites and playing your 45 rpm records by the hours, watching American Bandstand, The Twilight Zone, playing Monopoly for days. ❤️ 🙋🏻

These all look so cute! While growing up, we had these fun teddy bear/other funny animal-shaped “bombs” that could be dropped in the tub, and you’d get a LOT of foam. I have no idea what the brand was, and now I want to find them!

Even as a kid I wasn’t one for fragrance but I desperately wanted Mr. Bubbles anyway. These products are a great 2018 update on a great memory.

I picked up some Meltaways while on a recent vacation since I forgot to pack bath bombs and my hotel room had an incredible tub. I went a little overboard with the number I used (maybe 8-10, but in my defense, the tub was HUGE), but my skin felt incredible!
