Multitasking Blue Defender: Derma E Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum

As we spend more time at home, some of us (I’m talking about myself here) are spending more time on our computers and phones. And we are exposing ourselves to more blue light from our screens.

Back in October, I wrote about City Beauty Blue Light Defense (reviewed here), a moisturizing gel to screen out blue light.

Today I have another option for you.

Derma E Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum

Derma E Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum comes in the handy form of a serum. If you want to stick with your favorite moisturizer or anti-aging cream, you can just add Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum to your daily routine. And the good news is that it is a multitasking serum. In addition to protecting your skin from environmental aggressors and blue light via antioxidants such as Lutein derived from nutrient rich blue-green algae, it adds moisture to dry skin and helps skin tone look more even over time. It has activated charcoal to purify skin and ginseng root extract to brighten and energize skin.

This concentrated serum comes in a tall heavy plastic pump bottle with a label that protects the contents from degrading via light but allows you to see how much is left.

The serum itself is kind of a weird green-gray, but I guess you could say it has a natural look about it 😉

It has a very faint herbal scent that is gone in a flash. The viscous serum feels hydrating and protective upon application, but it sinks into my skin on contact and all traces of it disappear in an instant. Thus, Derma E Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum works extremely well under moisturizer and foundation.

Like all Derma E products, it’s vegan, cruelty-free, soy-free, GMO-free, and gluten-free. Plus, it’s affordably priced. The pump bottle contains 2 fl. oz. and is priced at $22.50. A little goes a very long way, so it will last for ages. It can be purchased on the Derma E website, at Whole Foods, Ulta, and about a million other online retailers. This blue light blocking serum with benefits is definitely worth checking out!
