Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream

Speaking of products I got in my Ipsy/Boxycharm boxes, here’s another one that I really like. Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream.

Calling the white pearlescent product a “cleansing cream” is a strange descriptor, IMHO.

Maybe because I grew up with Dove commercial that referenced “one-quarter cleansing cream”. And Pond’s Cold Cream also described as a “cleansing cream”. Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream is different from those old-school types of cleansing cream.

In fact, Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream sort of reminds me of First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser. The creaminess and gentleness of both cream cleansers is very similar. And I love them both.

Here’s Murad’s description of their “Richest, Most Luxurious Cleanser”:

Silky cream transforms into a non-drying, comforting lather that lifts away oils and impurities to prep skin for treatments that follow. A blend of lactic acid, a peptide and an antioxidant helps brighten and renew for a more youthful-looking complexion. Apricot and starflower oils help replenish and protect skin’s natural moisture barrier for more hydrated, supple skin.

My skin feels so fresh, clean and moisturized after using Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream. It’s recommended for Balanced, Combination and Dry skin types. Definitely works well for my mature, dry skin! In fact, I wasn’t surprised that reviewers on the Murad website rated the product 4.9 out of 5. The key reviewer likes included:

  • gentleness
  • smoothness
  • cleanliness
  • good for a variety of users’ skin types including sensitive skin and those with acne
  • pleasant and mild scent
  • softens skin
  • leaves skin ready for following products like serums and moisturizers
  • non-drying
  • long-lasting tubes because a little goes a long way.

Many users reported using Renewing Cleansing Cream for a long time, e.g. 6 years, 12 years etc.

The cleanser does have a fragrance, but frankly, it is a very light scent. I can’t really smell it.

Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream comes two sizes in recyclable plastic tubes:

  • 2 fl. oz. for $16
  • 6.75 fl. oz. for $45

There’s a 20% discount for those who subscribe.

Thank you for the review! I am going to try this cleanser. I have been using something by Elemis but it’s nothing special. I double cleanse so I would be using this as Step 2. By the way, I saw your nice reply a while back about my retirement. I haven’t retired yet. Maybe the end of this year or possibly next. It’s up in the air. And I wanted to tell you that I agree with you about the new Paula’s Choice Vitamin C serum. It’s lovely to use and non irritating. But I don’t see any increased radiance. At 69 that’s probably too much to hope for. I also used the eye cream in this line for several months and loved it. My under eye dark circles actually improved. But I had a nasty allergic reaction and had to stop using it. My skin had become so much more sensitive as I have aged. But I highly recommend the eye cream. Going to try the new moisturizer with sunscreen that she just released in this line. Always looking for a moisturizer that will change my life🤣.

    1. Oh, I misunderstood, Denise! I’m glad to hear that you’re still working. If COVID hadn’t ended my job as a focus group moderator, I would have carried on, but now I can’t handle the thought of being on a plane commuting to wherever my job would be. I am sad that Paula’s Choice took me off their PR list as I’m not as up to date on their current launches as I was previously. I will definitely look into the new moisturizer with sunscreen. I have worn PC Youth-Extending Moisturizer with Sunscreen, but it isn’t moisturizing enough for my skin now. There’s another one that has been on the market from PC for several years that I’ve been meaning to try, but right now I am trying to use up Coola Sun Silk Drops, Shiseido Oil Free HA Sunscreen and Innisfree all of which I use a separate moisturizer with them. I agree with you about your search, although I have found moisturizers I love, they haven’t changed my life…yet!! Best to you!!
