I Bought This, PR Sample, Affiliate Links
It’s been ages since I wrote a “5 Favorites” post. Although it was hard to limit the post to just five favorite beauty products, here are my current picks.
Cover FX Total Coverage Cream Foundation
I’ve hit pan on the Cover FX Total Coverage Cream Foundation that I bought at the end of the winter. Actually, I feel bad that since buying Cover FX, I haven’t been giving my liquid foundations (of which I have many) any love! I’m going solo with my Cover FX Cream Foundation.
The Cream Foundation comes in a large compact with a huge applicator sponge. Frankly, I don’t use the applicator sponge because it’s too darn big. Instead, I recommend either a Beautyblender/egg-shaped applicator or a brush. My preferred applicator is my relatively new Artis Rose Gold Oval 6, another one of my faves that could have made this list.
Using this foundation, I don’t need a separate concealer. Applying a little bit more foundation on my dark spots does the trick. And yet, it is so lightweight. I usually forget I’m wearing it even in this heat and humidity.
Cover FX had a 50% off everything sale during July 4 week. I think it may be over now, but they have sales on their website between 30-50% fairly routinely, if you’re interested.
MAC Prep + Prime Lip
Several years ago, I tried MAC Prep + Prime Lip, loved it, and put it somewhere and haven’t been able to find it. During MAC’s recent sale, I repurchased it. It does an excellent job of hydrating my lips under drying lipstick and/or preventing my lipstick or colored gloss from migrating into my lip lines. Excellent product.
Strawberry Moon Velvet Moon Moisturizer
In April, I received a jar of moisturizer from a new-to-me brand, Strawberry Moon Beauty. It’s an indie brand created by a 30-something woman. So far, Velvet Moon Moisturizer is the sole product, but I believe that new launches are in the works.
The fluffy, lightweight yet hydrating moisturizer is a dream, especially for the heat and humidity of summer. I liked it so much that I bought a jar after I finished up the one I received to review.
Strawberry Moon currently has a 20% off sale with the code SM20 right now. If you’re in the market for a lightweight moisturizer for the summer, check out Strawberry Moon Beauty.
Korres Black Pine 360° Eye-Lift Super Serum
I’m on my second applicator of Korres fab Black Pine 360° Eye-Lift Super Serum. Plus, I have another tube waiting in the wings.
I am an eye lifting fanatic, so this serum should have my name on it. I use it all over my eye area, above and below. It’s a lightweight liqui-gel that quickly sinks in. To me, it holds loose skin in place. It’s especially helpful for me in terms of maintaining the skin above the crease.
Right now, Korres’ website has a 40% off sale on the entire product line. If you’re interested in seeing if it works for you, now’s a good time. And don’t forget to sign up for their loyalty club in order to quickly qualify for free products.
The (pH)ix (ph)iller Peptide Serum
I know I just wrote about the pH skin-appropriate facial Peptide Serum yesterday, but I adore this rich, hydrating, firming serum with marine ingredients/peptides and botanical extracts/antioxidants.
P.S. I also love the beautiful blue, dark circle camouflaging, cucumber Caffeine Eye Cream but I was already at 5 faves. 😉
Check out pH-friendly brand (pH)ix. And check out the photo of handsome Brendan, the company founder while you’re at it.
