My Current Daytime Skincare Routine

I have sooooo many skincare products that it’s hard to stick with one routine. But these are the products that I have been using in the morning for quite a while now to good effect.

Cleansing

Derma E Vitamin C Daily Brightening Cleanser: Though I am never sure how long the actives in a cleanser stay on my skin, I am enjoying Derma E Vitamin C Daily Brightening Cleanser. In fact, I think almost their entire Vitamin C collection is a good and effective one. It’s a lightweight golden liqui-gel that turns creamy on my face, and after I wash it off, something is still left on my skin.

FOREO LUNA Mini 3: After my debacle trying to register and set up the first FOREO LUNA Mini 3 that I bought during the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty, the replacement FOREO that I got at my local Ulta store has worked like a charm. It has much softer silicone bristles than my original FOREO Luna, and I like that I can change the timing on the 4 different zones. Ulta currently has 20% off one qualifying item with 8% cashback via Rakuten, and if it is good on FOREO, it’s a good time to pick one up.

Serums

Aforé by Dr. Few CBD Effusive Soothing Skin Mist: For years, I have hated spraying anything on my face. Until I discovered Afore by Dr. Few CBD Effusive Soothing Skin Mist. As I’ve written many times, this is the finest spray ever. And the CBD infused skin mist is a pleasure to use. It’s calming and hydrating. I often use it instead of a toner. Just lovely.

Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum: Hey Honey is an American skincare brand created by a mother, her husband, her business partner, and a bunch of dermatologists. The range is based on honey and propolis, anti-bacterial ingredients that are helpful to congested or stressed skin by soothing, calming skin and increasing the rate of skin cell development. Many products in this range also work well for my dry, mature skin. Good Morning is a multipurpose serum with Sea Buckthorn Oil and Honey that is nourishing, radiance-inducing, and also works as a primer. It leaves my skin plumped, hydrated and smooth. I love it.

City Beauty UpLift Firming Serum: I’ve been using UpLift Firming Serum on and off since it was introduced a year or two ago. It works well for me along my jawline and on my neck.

PRAI Ageless Neck and Decolletage Cream: At least three years ago, I bought a huge bejeweled container of PRAI Ageless Neck and Decolletage Cream on HSN, I think, because the container was sparkly and absolutely stunning. I had heard good things about the brand. I had no idea the cream would last so darn long! It’s fluffy and white, lightweight but still hydrating. The jewels have begun to come off the container since it’s so old, so I transferred what’s left to an empty Dr. Perricone jar. If you aren’t familiar with PRAI, definitely check it out. Affordable, effective skincare. And their special bejeweled containers are extra without breaking the bank!

Eye Creams

City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment: This upper eye/crease spackle  has been a game changer for me. It’s been the eye cream that I have been searching for for years. Because it’s pricey, I use it only in and above the crease, and I use a more affordable eye cream under my eyes, on my dry lid, and on my crow’s feet. (As always, if the product you want at City Beauty isn’t on sale, use my link and code NEVERSAYDIEBEAUTY for 15% off).

CeraVe Eye Repair Cream: I bought this months ago just to try out the CeraVe brand, and I am very impressed with it as an affordable and gentle hydrator. The ceramides and hyaluronic acid make this eye cream an all purpose winner. This is the eye moisturizer and anti-aging cream that I use around the rest of my eye area in conjunction with City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment.

Moisturizer with Sunscreen

Dermedicine Weightless Face Moisturizer SPF 25: I just reviewed this truly lightweight moisturizer with physical and chemical sunscreen. It has dimethicone in it as well so it can also work as a primer. I love it.

This is my daytime skincare routine. What’s yours? Is there a product or two you think I should know about?
