You already know that I am a big fan of City Beauty, and that I have certain City Beauty products that I have been buying myself (in some cases for years!) because they work so well for me. This year, I had decided that after telling one of my friends about City Lips for years, I was finally going to gift it to her.

Then, out of the clear blue sky City Beauty reached out to me and asked me if I would like to do an Instagram video and giveaway about two products that I am gifting to friends.
In spite of the fact that I don’t do a lot of videos, I wanted to challenge myself to figure out how to post a video to Instagram and run a giveaway on Instagram. I must admit that boy was I nervous! The idea of sharing my video with one of the brands I work with kind of freaked me out. Then I realized that uploading a video to Instagram wasn’t as easy as I thought because Instagram limits the video to 60 seconds. Well, the first video I made was 7 minutes long. It was a no go! I re-recorded it and the second video was 5 minutes. Still too long. Finally, I got a video down to 2.5 minutes, and I decided I would figure out how to make it work even though it certainly wasn’t my best video. What I learned was that I needed to use something called IGTV. Well, I figured it out and uploaded my video.
