My Mini-Haul from Ipsy’s Mega Drop Shop Summer Sale

I Bought This - Affiliate links

Ipsy still has their summer sale going on. The sale, with up to 80% off, is going on in their Mega Drop Shop

These are products that I assume are leftovers from their Ipsy and BoxyCharm bags and boxes. There are 1741 different products on sale. The prices are $3 and up, with the majority costing $5. Many of them are minis, though some are full size. There are themed sets as well as individual products. Since I shopped about a week ago, they have added 100 new products to the sale.

My haul just arrived today. Including taxes, I paid under $30 for the whole lot of them. Shipping is free over a $20 spend.

This is what I bought:

  • 2 mini tubes of Benefit Fan Fest Fanning & Volumizing Mascara: I just reviewed this mascara on Monday (here). As I mentioned, I paid $16 for the mini tube at Sephora. At the Ipsy sale, I believe I paid $5 for each of the tubes. I’m wearing Fan Fest today, and my lashes, thanks to Scorolash Lash Serum, and Fan Fest Mascara look so darn long. I tried again to take a photo, but my camera didn’t capture them any better than last week. I think Benefit Fan Fest Mascara must be sold out because I can’t find it among the 1741 products. But there are lots of other mascara brands in minis and full sizes on sale.

  • 2 tubes (deluxe minis, 1 fl. oz. each for $5 total) of Byroe English Breakfast Tea Treatment Essence: Although it’s now sold out, I read the reviews on the product, and they were raves. Here’s the description: “This restoring treatment essence is filled to the brim with black tea, pro-vitamin B5, squalane, and kombucha to provide your complexion with tons of skin-loving nutrients and enzymes.” So far, I used it a few minutes ago. The tea scent is very light and fades pretty much immediately. The essence is hydrating and smoothing. I am eager to try it tomorrow morning.

  • a box of 3 tubes of Hanalei rose tinted lip hydrator for $9: I am a longtime fan of Hanalei minis. I was introduced to the brand via Ipsy, and I have repurchased them a couple of times. They are perfect to keep in my purse makeup bag and beach bag. I love ’em.

  • Sutra Fast Dry Microfiber Hair Towel for $10: The microfiber towel also got rave reviews on Ipsy. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet. It’s large, and it will have no trouble covering my thick hair. The towel has a loop on it, but truth be told, I am so far confused about how to tie it. There are no directions! I bought this as a backup for my at least 10 year old AQUIS microfiber towel. Fortunately, Sutra’s website has directions on how to tie it.

The brands that Ipsy is selling are quality, primarily well-known brands and some indie brands. Now is a great time to pick up some deluxe minis as well as full size cosmetics including tools like blow dryers, flat irons, facial tools etc. on the cheap!
