My night skincare routine starring Elina Organics Baikal Crystal Balm

  *pr sample; my own purchases

I have a nightly routine that helps me remember to not just get in bed. It haunts me if I don’t get in the bathroom and do these simple steps. Like any night time talk show the guests change from time to time. No one in this house wants to be bored after all.

Here’s the basic routine:  wash my face, use Bioderma Micellar Water to be sure everything is removed, use a lash serum and also a brow serum. On to the facial serum du jour as well as a great moisturizer. End with a luxurious eye cream. And now I can get in bed and hope I sleep.

I’m very lucky because a lot of my night routine has been sent by PR companies so I’m happily using great products to keep my skin hydrated and clear. It’s working! Currently I’m using *MyChelle Refining Sugar Cleanser most night and alternating with *MyChelle Perfect C Cleansing Oil. The serum of late is *Fleur & Bee Just Dew It. Eye creams change all the time but on my vanity now is Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb. And for the creme de la creme that’s helping my skin so much during our crazy weather is *elina organics Baikal Crystal Balm.

I’ve previously written about elina organics and what a wonderful skincare line it is. Everything I’ve used from them is top notch quality and my skin loves it. Baikal Crystal Balm is meant for dry and aging skin. It is so lightweight though that I wouldn’t have guessed that. It proves you don’t need thickness to moisturize your aging skin – you just need quality ingredients like elina organics has loaded into this balm.

Baikal Crystal Balm is considered Holistic Clinical Skin Care. I choose to use it at night because I love the rich soothing feel of it. Fragrance isn’t part of this balm which is just one of the things that make this a winner for me.

The main ingredient in this skin-restoring, hydrating, and nourishing moisturizer is Lubomirskia freshwater sponge. It is only found in Russia’s Lake Baikal, the world’s largest freshwater lake by volume. For centuries, infusions of Lubomirskia and other sponges from Lake Baikal have served as remedies for inflamed, damaged, and bruised skin. Lubomirskia can help regulate the secretion of sebum, increase fibroblast regeneration, and overall general skin appearance and resiliency. Extracts of Lubomirskia encapsulated with liposomes enhances this balm’s firming and restoring powers.

The jar is a pleasure to have on my vanity. It looks expensive and gives you confidence in its ability to keep your skin calm and balanced. I dislike having to use a separate neck cream so it’s wonderful that I can use this balm on my neck without worrying about my hair sticking to it at night. It melds into my skin effortlessly.

Ending my routine with elina organics Baikal Crystal Balm is the perfect antidote to my insomnia. I know I’ll wake up with the skin I want the world to see.

Ingredients: Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Lubomirskia Baicalensis (Spongilla), Cera Alba (Beeswax), Squalane, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).

  4. Hi, Marcia – Your nighttime routine looks wonderful! I’m thinking I need to add my rose quartz roller ball to my routine post serum or post moisturizer. Do you agree? A friend told me she favors a gua sha tool. Anyway, what an exotic balm! Thanks so much for sharing the “creme de la creme” 😉 – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com
