I know you’ve heard it from me about a million times: cream blush is my favorite. For my dry skin, cream is the best. Also, I love that I can apply it with my fingers.
I had been eyeing Youngblood Luminous Creme Blush. Luckily, I received it to try out.
A couple of months ago, I reviewed a number of Youngblood makeup products in Rose Quartz, the Pantone Color of the Year (reviewed here), and I love them. Youngblood is a cruelty-free, mineral cosmetics brand. In fact, the business was started about 20 years ago by Pauline Youngblood who had worked as a medical aesthetician. She worked for dermatologists and plastic surgeons and often saw patients with serious skin issues. As the founder and president of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, she created an entire line of makeup that not only looks great but that you can feel good about wearing!
Back to the blush. I got to try out the shade, Tropical Glow.
OMG, this shade is perfection for me! It’s a highly pigmented shade that looks either peach or burnt orange depending on the light. It has a slight golden shimmery glow that looks great with my coloring.
It’s a warm-toned shade, but this cool-toned gal can wear it with no problem. What do you think?
As I mentioned earlier, I like to apply cream blush with my fingers. With Tropical Glow, a little goes a long way. In fact, I often take a damp blending sponge and bounce it over the blush so that it’s not too bright. Also, you can apply it with a fan brush or a duo fiber brush to keep it subtle.
I have dry skin, so on me Youngblood Luminous Creme Blush is very long lasting. Unlike some cream blushes, it doesn’t fade away over the course of the day. It stays put. The blush has an oil free formula with Vitamins C and E, Allantoin and Jojoba Esters that blend together to moisturize and protect skin.
If Tropical Glow isn’t your shade, it comes in 5 other shades: Plum Satin, Champagne Life, Rose Quartz, Taffeta, Pink Cashmere.
Youngblood Luminous Creme Blush is Paraben Free. The screw top jar contains 21 oz/ 6g. Made in the U.S. Check it out on the Youngblood website. That is seriously the most perfect shade of blush for your complexion! It’s gorgeous! Youngblood is a makeup line I’ve never tried, but I’ve seen it at several spas and salons in my area. One of my friends I know swears by the line!!

I know I have read about this brand before but I can’t for the life of me remember where and when. I swear my memory is deteriorating, fast. 🙁
This sounds really good and because our skin type seems to be similar (mine is also dry), I think this would work well with my skin. My only problem is as much as I love peachy/coral blushers, they always disappear into my skin tone. For some reason they just never seems to show up well. 🙁

Maybe you remember the review that I did on Youngblood powder blush and eyeshadow in Rose Quartz-ish shades a couple of months ago. I love this cream blush. Tropical Glow is the perfect shade for me, but they have 4 or 5 other shades that might suit you better. It’s worth taking a look on Amazon or on their website to see the range. The photo I included of the other shades is kinda small.

Pretty! I tend to prefer cream blush over powder as I get older. Powder settles into fine lines more.

Taffeta is my all time favorite cream blush and Tropical Glow is close behind. I think these are so flattering. I love the colors. Champagne Life makes a great highlighter.

I got this as a sample years ago. Once I started using it on jobs, I LOVED it so much, I started using more and Youngblood was kind enough to send me every color. It is all I use on all my work. It is fabulous and looks amazing on you!
