City Beauty has just launched another winning skincare product! City Beauty Skin Perfecting Daily Veil SPF 39, just in time for summertime primetime.
I got it a few weeks ago, and I’ve been reaching for it almost every day. Like so many of City Beauty’s skincare products, it’s a multitasker: anti-aging plus mineral based sunscreen.
Here’s how City Beauty describes it:

Gee, those are pretty much my skincare concerns!
Here are the key ingredients that go to work on the signs of aging:
- Line-Blurring Polymers: These innovative polymers blur imperfections by giving skin a mattifying “soft-focus” effect. Instantly reducing the appearance of wrinkles — it creates smoother-looking skin in under an hour.
- Light-Activated Algae Derivative: This ingredient uses blue light activated technology to help you combat light-related aging — from the sun and digital screens. It works to boost skin radiance and reduce the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles.
- Deep-Sea Extract: This marine extract works with the skin’s natural barrier to help better protect your skin against UVA sun damage. Not only does it improve the look of skin by significantly reducing moisture loss, but it also helps defend the skin from signs of aging caused by the sun, like dark spots and wrinkles.
Skin Perfecting Daily Veil SPF 39 does all that, while helping to protect from sun’s harmful rays with a blend of all-mineral sunscreen ingredients. Importantly, the sunscreen contains no oxybenzone or octinoxate that contribute to coral reef bleaching, so it is reef-safe. Plus I’m glad it is a higher SPF than just about all of the other sunscreens I own. Finally, the medium weight cream is tinted pale peach so it doesn’t leave a white cast.
It comes in a pump tube that can stand upright, and is so easy to use while it protects the efficacy of the ingredients.
The cream goes on smoothly and leaves my skin with a velvety finish. I think it’s that finish that helps to give my skin both a bit of a blur as well as a glow. It’s a particularly lovely anti-aging cream with sunscreen. It truly looks and feels luxurious, even when I’m not wearing any makeup.
