NUDE Perfect Cleanse: A New Way to Cleanse

I was so excited by a new cleanser I received for review, NUDE Perfect Cleanse, that I wanted to tell you about it right away. But I made myself use it for a couple of weeks to make sure I didn’t lose my enthusiasm. I definitely still love it as much as I did the first time I tried it!

What’s different about this cleanser is that it is made of what they call “omega cleansing jelly”. It’s made from a thick, cloudy “jelly” that feels a bit like petroleum jelly but it has no petroleum jelly or mineral oil. What I love about it is that it removes my eye makeup as well as my face makeup without me going through the two extra steps that I would usually go through: 1. using eye makeup remover 2. using micellar water to remove my foundation and face makeup. The cleansing jelly removes everything, and does a great job cleaning my skin without stripping it. I wondered if it really did get rid of my makeup. As a test, I used micellar water after cleansing with NUDE Perfect Cleanse, and nothing came off on the cotton pad. I was seriously impressed.

How does it work? I apply a thin coating of Perfect Cleanse all over my face including my eyes. Then I add a little water, and the jelly turns milky and light. I often use my Foreo Luna in a circular motion, and then rinse with water – I use a sea sponge or a facecloth. My skin and my eyelashes feel so hydrated, it’s a miracle product for my dry skin! It leaves my skin clean, smooth, moisturized, and toned. Fabulous!

I wondered if it would be only for those with dry skin like mine, but according to all the product information and the reviews that I read, it is good for all skintypes. And below, NUDE explains how it works for different skintypes.

The ingredients provide what NUDE describes as “essential nutrition. Sunflower seed oil, which is rich in omegas 6 and 9, gently removes dirt and impurities while nourishing and protecting. Great burdock root extract moisturizes dry areas and purifies oily areas while orange extract soothes, calms, and tones skin with antioxidants and vitamins. Annatto seed extract is added to strengthen skin and shield it from daily stressors while iris root extract softens skin and envelops you in a naturally luxurious, sensorial experience.”

If you’re in the market for a new cleanser, you’ve gotta try NUDE Perfect Cleanse. It is so different and so wonderful! NUDE is a natural brand that uses healthy ingredients such as antioxidants, probiotics, omegas, and minerals.

NUDE Perfect Cleanse is ophthalmologist tested, vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. It is formulated without GMO, PEGs, TEA, DEA, propylene glycol, petrolatum, synthetic color, synthetic fragrance, mineral oil, and silicones.

  1. This cleanser sounds absolutely perfect for my dry skin until I got to the pricing. Eek! I’m not so sure if I’ll ever spend that much on a cleanser because while my skin is dry, it’s not sensitive so I never splurge on cleanser. But on the other hand, since this is all in one, I save up on makeup removers and time…oh the dilemma you put me in, Allison. LOL!

ps: I was wondering your thoughts on Foreo Luna, I am planning to get one well, the new version but I’m not sure if it’s worth the splurge? I am currently using my good ol’ trusty Play Pro-X since 2013 but since I’m so close to 40, I thought I needed something more for my skin. I don’t want Clarisonic which is stupidly overpriced imo but Foreo Luna seems like the next best thing.

    1. I love this cleanser, and I am tempted to buy a backup tube while it’s on sale at Sephora, but I have 2 different cleansers waiting in the wings after I finish this. It literally saves me two steps – eye makeup remover and micellar water, and it leaves my skin so soft, I can’t believe it. But on to the Foreo Luna. I have/had two Michael Todd cleansing devices, and though I love them, the bristles are too harsh for my skin so I don’t use them very often. The Foreo Luna is a completely different animal. It’s perfect for my sensitive skin. I have the light pink one. I think the mini would be great. I was fortunate to receive mine as a gift, but I think I would buy the mini. Here in the US, I would buy it during the Ulta 20% off prestige coupon event. I don’t know if there’s any comparable sales in CA. But I use my Luna almost every night. Truth.

      1. I trust you, Allison hence I ask you about Foreo Luna, thank you for sharing your opinions. I need an opinion from someone who is closer to my age to see if it actually does help our more mature skin. It’s selling for $199.00CAD on Sephora.ca and the same price in another store, maybe I’m wait for Sephora sale. Thanks again, Allison!

        1. Definitely wait for the sale. That’s a lot of money. The Foreo Luna Mini is $99 here. Maybe for your Christmas present next year when Sephora has the 20% sale?

  2. I always have to search ingredients on new skin products because my skin has a tendency to react to anything with citric acid and/or orange-esque ingredients. This one sounds nice, but it might have ingredients that trigger my crazy skin 🙁

  3. I haven’t tried anything from this line yet! Love your review, sounds like such a nice cleanser.

    1. I just love this cleanser. It takes away 2 steps – eye makeup remover and micellar water – from my regular routine, and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated, I’m also tempted to skip my night cream 😉

  4. I had a NUDE Skincare facial years ago, but haven’t tried anything from the line in a very long time. This sounds like a product that I would really like. Thanks for the wonderful review, Allison!

    1. It is such a great cleanser for my dry skin, Helen, I’m tempted to buy another tube while it’s on sale at Sephora in spite of the fact that I have 2 other cleansers waiting in the wings!

  5. I’ve been wanting to pick this up, but wasn’t sure it would work on my oily/combo skin. So glad to hear you love it and that it’s made for all skin types.

    1. I honest and truly do love it, Leigh. In fact, I’m thinking about buying a backup during the sale at Sephora in spite of the fact that I have two other cleansers waiting in the wings. I love that it makes removing my eye makeup a snap plus it’s one step, no micellar water. It’s hard to describe the consistency other than calling it a jelly, though it’s not as heavy as petroleum jelly, and when you add water to it once it’s on your face, it turns milky and gets thinner. Supposedly, it helps to balance the oil in ones skin so it is supposed to work for oily or combo skin as well as for dry.

  6. I saw a little set of Nude skincare that has this cleanser on Sephora online, and decided to try it. I don’t know if it will work for my oily skin, too, but I’m intrigued that I can use this to remove my makeup and use with my Foreo Luna in one step to clean, too!
Nidia – Lit From Within recently posted…Pink Plastic Pull-OffMy Profile

    1. It should work for you too, Nidia. When you apply water to it, it turns milky and lightweight. It usually disappears on my face when I use my Foreo Luna or it easily comes off with either a face cloth or the exfoliating sponge thing that we all reviewed a while ago. I hope you like it!

  7. I’m addicted to oil cleansers and this jelly one sounds right up my alley. I’m gong to have to add it to my wish list!

    1. Basically, it’s a jelled oil so it works the same way. I find it less messy than oil, but the benefits are the same.

  8. I have this cleanser and love it! It’s super gentle and removes makeup well.

    1. For me, it’s perfection! Less messy than cleansing with oil, but so gentle and effective.

  9. I don’t think I’ve heard of this brand before! The cleanser’s currently sold out on the website, so a lot of people must like it just as much as you do. I like that this removes makeup, since I rarely use a cleanser that doesn’t. It sounds moisturizing too, with all of the oils in it. On another note, the Foreo Luna I ordered came in the mail today! I can’t wait to use it!

    1. You are going to love your new Foreo Luna!!! it’s the best. Basically, NUDE Perfect Cleanse is like cleansing with an oil but I find it less messy. This stuff is great.

  10. This sounds great. I love cleansers that emulsifies with water. I converted over to oil cleansing about 8 years ago now and haven’t looked back. I have combo skin and it works great for it. I find this way of cleaning to remove ALL makeup, sunscreen and grime off my face, yet it’s so gentle. I’ll keep an eye out for this one once I use up my stash of cleansing oils / balms!

    1. It really is a fabulous cleanser. Yes, it’s like cleansing with oil but for me, it’s less messy than oil. Worth considering!

  11. Nude Skincare is always one to get raves. It amazes me that you can use this on your sensitive eyes. I’m always worried about that. Sounds like a winner.

    1. Marcia, it is as gentle as gentle can be. I wish I didn’t have 3 other cleansers to test ‘coz I’d pick up another tube on sale now. I love not having to use a separate eye MU remover and micellar water. And love how soft my skin feels. Basically, it’s like cleansing with an oil but less messy

  12. This sounds fabulous! I think that my dry skin would LOVE it. Your reviews are dangerous, girl. Dangerous for my wallet. lol

    1. It’s a terrific higher end brand. I got a sample of one of their other products in my beauty goody bag from Barney’s. This cleanser is like no other cleanser I’ve used before. It’s like a cleansing oil jelled. It is supposed to help balance skin and it definitely is gentle, gentle, gentle

  19. I love Nude Skincare! I like the sounds of something I can skip a few more steps with, mainly eye makeup remover.
