Oils of Heaven and Balm Balm: Organic Skincare from UK-based Sister Brands

I recently received a box from the U.K. containing the most adorably packaged skincare products from two brands that I believe are sister brands: Oils of Heaven and Balm Balm.

Oils of Heaven

Oils of Heaven’s mission is to scour the world for the most effective beauty oils and introduce them to the world.  They do that by working with local communities, helping the locals harvest the oils sustainably and make a living for themselves and their families.  Oils of Heaven currently sells three organic oils:

  • Argan Moisture Retention Face Oil
  • Moringa Antioxidant Face Oil
  • Rosehip Cell-Regenerating Face Oil

and the Natural Cacay Anti-aging Face Oil that I received. I wasn’t familiar with Cacay Oil.

Oils of Heaven Natural Cacay Anti-Aging Face Oil

Here’s how Oils of Heaven describes it:

“Cacay oil is cold pressed from wild Cacay nuts harvested in the Colombian jungle. Scientific studies show that it contains 50% more vitamin E and twice the amount of Linoleic Acid than Argan Oil as well as 3 times more Retinol than Rose Hip Oil. It is a fast absorbing, odourless, dry oil that leaves no residue.”

It’s an absolutely lovely face oil. Though they describe it as odorless, the oil has a very faint comforting scent almost like sesame oil. It is indeed lightweight and fast absorbing. It leaves my skin feeling like velvet. I’ve added it to my skincare routine. I was a big fan of rosehip oil, so I am thrilled to find out that Cacay oil has three times the retinol. Great!

I love the Oils of Heaven packaging including their Ooh! logo. It’s perfect. Oils of Heaven oils come in a clear glass bottle with a dropper. A little of this golden Cacay elixir goes a long way! It’s made in England and the bottle contains 30 ml. I’m giving my argan and rosehip oils a rest, and wholeheartedly getting into Oils of Heaven Cacay Oil! Check it out here. Oils of Heaven has free WORLDWIDE delivery!

Ingredients: 100% Caryodendron Orinocense Seed Oil

Balm Balm

What a cute name for this organic skincare brand! Though they specialize in balms, they also carry facial serums, toners, aromatherapy and essential oils. I believe that Balm Balm is related to Oils of Heaven. They both have the cutest packaging that reminds me of Easter time with adorable pastels.

Balm Balm Organic Skincare

I received Balm Balm:

  • Rose Geranium Face Balm
  • Multi-Purpose Lip Balm – Tea Tree
  • Multi-Purpose Lip Balm – Fragrance-free.

All three organic products have a similar consistency. They are balms that I would describe as ointments.

When you apply the balm to your face or to your lips, the balm melts into your skin like an oil. Also they all come in handy plastic tubes that make them easy to carry and dispense.

Face Balm

Balm Balm Rose Geranium Face Balm

Balm Balm Rose Geranium Face Balm was awarded the Best Organic Beauty & Body Care Award by The Soil Association & The Natural & Organic awards by Josephine Fairly & Sarah Stacy in the UK. Because of its name, I thought it was specifically a Face Balm, but I learned on the Balm Balm website that it’s actually a multitasker and can be used to moisturize lips, elbows, knees as well as the face – wherever dry skin needs to be banished! With a hot, damp cloth, it can even be used as a cleansing balm. In fact, it reminds me of NUDE Cleansing Balm. With the size of the tube, it would be a perfect travel cleanser/makeup remover and face balm! The scent of Rose Geranium Face Balm is lovely and light. Although rich, it absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling velvety.

Ingredients: Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), helianthus annuus (sunflower oil), cera alba (beeswax), calendula officinalis (calendula oil), simmondsia chinensis (jojoba oil), pelargonum graveolens roseum (rose geranium oil)

Lip Balms

I wasn’t very familiar with tea tree oil beyond it’s anti-acne benefits, so it was interesting to read more about Balm Balm Tea Tree Lip Balm:

“Shea butter, sunflower, beeswax, jojoba, calendula & tea tree essential oil, gently melted together to create a soft balm formulation to soothe, moisturise and nourish your lips or anywhere else that might need caring for.

Tea Tree essential oil is antibacterial & antiviral so can help to clear up all sorts of little problems. Always keep a little tube of Tea Tree Lip Balm handy to dab on spots, stings, cold sores, cuts or grazes. If you catch them early enough you might be pleasantly surprised at the outcome!”

I didn’t realize that tea tree oil could be used for so many things. I’m going to keep this one around to try on bug bites, scrapes and cuts that I’m always getting when gardening.

Balm Balm Tea Tree and Fragrance-free Lip Balms neversaydiebeauty.com @redAllison

The tea tree Lip Balm has a faintly herbaceous scent, and Fragrance-Free is, well, fragrance-free. It also comes in Rose Geranium scent. Made in England. 10 ml. Free delivery in the UK for orders over 10 pounds on Balmbalm.com, but even better for the rest of us who aren’t in the UK, the natural skincare website LoveLula.com has free WORLDWIDE delivery and if you sign up for emails, you can get 15% off your first order! I’d love to try the aromatherapy oils and the rose floral water hydrosol, so this will come in handy.  🙂

Tea Tree Lip Balm Ingredients: Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), helianthus annuus (sunflower oil), cera alba (beeswax,) calendula officials (calendula oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba oil), melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil

Fragrance-free Lip Balm Ingredients: Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), helianthus annuus (sunflower oil), cera alba (beeswax), calendula officinalis (calendula oil), simmondsia chinensis (jojoba oil)

Here’s Balm Balm’s cute and short commercial. Take a look!

Though I have used the Balm Balm products several times since they arrived a couple of weeks ago, I am saving them (except for the tea tree balm) for winter. The Rose Geranium Face Balm will be perfect for my very dry skin in winter. It feels so protective, and the scent is a delight. The lip balms will be perfect for my winter dry lips.

Are you familiar with Oils of Heaven or Balm Balm Organic Skincare? Have you tried cacay oil yet?

    1. Same here, Stephanie! When I opened the box, the pastel boxes looked like little Easter gifts! And the inner packaging – tubes and bottle – are so cute too. I’m so glad that you saw my post today. I believe the Balm Balm website has a Stockist section so you may be able to check the brand out in stores. Otherwise, Balm Balm delivers free over 10 pounds, LoveLula.com has free delivery, and it’s sold on Amazon UK too. Let me know if you pick some up and what you think! The Cacay oil from Oils of Heaven is definitely Ooh! too 🙂

  16. Ooh! (hahaha) I think these sound wonderful, though I’m not a huge fan of Rose Geranium especially if it has that specific scent. I would like to try this though – these sound really nice and perfectly lightweight for summer.
Honeygirlk recently posted…Day Trip to the Ali’i Kula Lavender FarmMy Profile

    1. I think the lip balms are perfect for anytime, but the rose geranium face balm has the consistency of NUDE Cleanser that I find a little heavy for summer for me so I’m saving it for colder weather. The rose geranium scent is a light rose scent that I like but you may not if you’re not a rose fan. The cacay oil is a definite winner!

  17. I love facial oils and am always looking for new ones to try. Your blog always introduces me to new brands! Great review as always Allison 🙂
