Several years ago, I used Ole Henriksen skincare almost exclusively. But once I became a beauty blogger, I ended up testing so many different skincare brands that I never had the opportunity to be a brand loyalist. So I was pleased when Influenster chose me to receive free Ole Henriksen skincare samples to try out that would bring me back to one of my favorite skincare brands.
I was sent three products with Vitamin C Complex that are part of the PowerBright skin-brightening line:
- Truth Serum Collagen Booster, Potent Vitamin C Complex
- Sheer Transformation Oil-free Perfecting Cream: repairs skin with Vitamin C Complex
- PowerBright 3-Step Treatment: 1. Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask 2. Truth 25% Vitamin C Concentrate 3. Pure Truth Melting Cleanser
I think just about everyone’s skin can use brightening. Mine certainly can.
Truth Serum Collagen Booster
I love the Truth Serum Collagen Booster. It’s an orange gel, citrus-scented serum. One pump just about covers my entire face. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks so it’s too soon to tell if it’s making a difference. Nevertheless, I am really enjoying using this fabulous smelling serum. Vitamin C is said to boost collagen and fade dark spots, and I can for sure use that! $48
Sheer Transformation Oil-free Perfecting Cream
I’ve mostly been using Sheer Transformation Oil-free Perfecting Cream at night after I apply Truth Serum Collagen Booster because it doesn’t have sunscreen. This lightweight moisturizer contains Vitamin C Complex, licorice root and pea extract to repair skin and brighten. I love using this moisturizer during these hot, humid days because it hydrates but doesn’t weigh my skin down. It’s great under foundation too because it’s so lightweight. But I’m not sure it would be protective and hydrating enough for me with my dry skin during the winter, but I love it now. I think it would be a wonderful year-round moisturizer for anyone with combination or oily skin. $48 and up depending on size
PowerBright 3 Step Treatment
The PowerBright 3 step treatment was a bit daunting because I had to plan when I had enough time to do all three steps in a row. It’s a fun thing to do for a spa night. But I ended up actually enjoying the three steps and different products.
First up was Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask. The thick orange gel with exfoliating sugar suspended throughout smelled wonderful as I applied it, a definite citrus scent. I applied it, left it on for about 10 minutes, massaged it so the sugar crystals could do their thing, and then I rinsed it off. BTW, I received two sponges along with this set to use in removing the products.
Next, I applied Truth 25% Vitamin C Concentrate, an amazing cream that once applied to my skin, it dried a bit and it had a smoothness the likes of which I’ve never experienced. I absolutely loved this stuff! I was supposed to leave this on for 2-3 minutes, but I liked it so much I may have left it on a little longer. The Concentrate is not supposed to be washed off. Also, the 25% Vitamin C is pretty much unprecedented, definitely a maximum dose for faster results!
Here are steps 1 & 2:
Finally, I applied Pure Truth Melting Cleanser, a thick golden gel, on top of the 25% Vitamin C Concentrate. The directions said that I might feel a tingling sensation but I didn’t. My skin has been trying so many different potions lately that it’s getting tough! I left this combo on for 10-15 minutes before removing with warm water using one of the sponges that I received. Here’s what step 3 looks like:
After the 3 step PowerBright Treatment, my skin felt smooth, hydrated and it looked brighter and more radiant, and that’s with one use. I do have a little left in each little sample to eke out one more treatment, I think. I’d like to make time to try this again. An innovative and seemingly effective treatment.
The full-size version of the PowerBright Treatment comes with either 2 or 6 of the 3-step cards and is priced at $20 or $55, respectively. I think this is a pretty innovative treatment! And it looks like you can buy the other steps separately, too: Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask and Pure Truth Melting Cleanser.
I enjoyed my experiences with the Ole Hendriksen PowerBright skincare trio over the past couple of weeks. I’m glad I still have quite a bit more of the Collagen-Boosting Serum and a little bit more of the lightweight moisturizer. I hope I’ll see even more brightness, even skin tone and some more fullness in my face from the collagen boost.
Ole Henriksen Skincare can be purchased at Sephora, dermstore.com, Ulta Beauty and the Ole Henriksen website, among other retailers.
Have you tried any of these Ole Henriksen products? Do any of them interest you?
Ohh, glad that you had great experience with these, Allison. Ole Henriksen has long been under my radar but as you already know, I have so many to go through currently I need to wait before purchasing anything new. The 3 Step PowerBright treatment sounds like something that I will truly appreciate!

The OH PowerBright Treatment is quite an innovative products. There’s a smaller version that contains 2 of the cards for $20USD. I think it’s worth trying because it’s so unique and getting the 25% vitamin C is a real treat!
I love the whole Truth range – the cleanser, the serum and the advanced hydrator. The last one is especially brilliant. Used together, they’ve made a huge difference to my skin.

I wonder why OH and Influenster included Sheer Transformations Moisturizer that’s not part of the Truth range – maybe because it has Vitamin C? Now I want to try the Advanced Hydrator that you mention. Wish they sold the 25% Vitamin C Concentrate that’s step 2 in PowerBright separately. Have you seen it anywhere as a stand alone?
The cleanser sounds AMAZING! Also, I want that pillow!

Each step of the 3 step PowerBright is incredible! I wish I could buy the 25% Vitamin C Concentrate on its own – it’s unlike anything I’ve ever tried!
OH makes some really great products! I haven’t really used much from the line in a long time, but definitely need to take a look at some of their newer offerings! I am so glad that this set made your skin so smooth!

I hadn’t used OH in several years myself, Helen. The PowerBright 3 step Treatment really blew me away!

Sure does!
I’ve used and loved the Truth Serum. I like the sound of the 3 Step even if I’d have to plan for use. That would be something I’d enjoy trying.
I dragged my feet about using PowerBright, the 3 step but boy, it blew me away once I tried it. Wish I could get the middle step, 25% Vitamin C Concentrate, on its own. It’s like nothing I’ve tried!
Those pods look handy!
