Olive & June “Lipstick Stain” Polish for the Holidays

When it comes to nail polish, I’m into reds these days. The cabernet colored shade, “Obsessed”, was my Thanksgiving favorite. Now, I’m in love with “Lipstick Stain“, a new long wearing polish from Olive and June that I bought during the pre-Black Friday sale.

Although Olive and June describes Lipstick Stain as a “deep berry”, I think that’s totally wrong. Or at least the color is not like any berries I know! It’s a classic lipstick red shade. Not a red with blue undertones, but a red red. I think it’s the perfect Christmas red.

Like all the vast majority of Olive and June long wearing polishes I’ve tried (and I’ve bought a ton of them!), Lipstick Stain is easy to apply. In fact, even though I applied this while sitting up in bed while watching TV, even I – not the greatest manicurist, lol – didn’t make too many mistakes or get it on my skin. A true holiday miracle. After applying my Olive and June Nail Strengthener, I put on two coats of Lipstick Stain and followed that with their fabulous Glossy Top Coat. Since I was going to sleep after doing my nails, I put a drop of Dry Drops on each of my nails, and they dried in a minute or two. Love!

Again, like all of the O&J long wearing polishes I’ve tried, it wears like iron! I apply another coat of Glossy Top Coat every other night, and it’s still going strong on Day 6, especially after spending 3 hours raking leaves.

I bought a lots of shades during Olive and June’s sale since they have them so seldom, but I am so in love with Lipstick Stain that I may just reapply it in the future when I need a new mani.

If you’re looking for a Christmas red polish for a regular mani or for nail art, take a look at Lipstick Stain! $9/bottle

Are you a red fanatic like me? What do you think of Lipstick Stain? LMK!

    1. I’m sorry to hear that you are unable to wear nail polish. But there are worse things in life! Just curious, are you sensitive to a particular ingredient, or to having your nails covered with something artificial?
