Cosmetic and Kitchen Scoop

The end of the month for me means getting ready to share the cosmetics that I’ve used up. I am almost at the bottom of Tony Moly Green Tea Watery Essence (reviewed here). I really, really like this wonderful lightweight hydrating essence, so I want to get out every last drop.

About a year ago, I made a special trip to a small boutique called Goodlinens on Main Street in Gloucester MA to buy a kitchen tool that I thought would also be handy for use with cosmetics.

It’s a double-ended scoop that’s made of flexible silicone that’s great at passing through small bottle/jar openings and scooping up even small amounts of product.

Well worth the $4.95 or $5.95 that I paid for it.

Unfortunately, Goodlinens doesn’t sell online, but I found it on Amazon. In fact, it’s a better deal on Amazon because you get 2 double-ended scoops for about the same price as I paid for one. You can keep one in the kitchen and one in your bathroom or beauty room!

Oh I like this one! On my list.

    1. Thank you, Sandy! I find it to be so handy in the kitchen (mustard jars, I’m thinking about you) and definitely for getting out the last drop of moisturizers and serums.

I have a junky eyeshadow brush that I typically use for this purpose but I like that the silicone here is flexy (and the tiny end is even at an angle!) so could potentially get at the bits of product that sometimes get stuck on the sides of the bottle…. Yes I’m liking this idea. Thanks Allison!

    1. Yes, yes, yes, Rachel! The mitten like scoop is so good at going around the sides of the bottle and especially great for going around the edge of the bottom. It’s been very worth it for me!

Ordered!! I am one of those people that want ever drop of product out of tube/jar/bottle. Plastic tubes I cut open but bottles are a little harder. Great ideal thanks

    1. I’m so glad you found this helpful, Gloria! I wasn’t sure if I should post about it, but then I thought maybe there would be others like me…and you are! I hope you find the scoop as useful as I do! Thank you for letting me know xo
