Onyx Professional 3 • 2 • 1 Nail Dry!: Affordable Manicure Spray

Last month, I was in Portland OR to conduct a market research project with teens and young women about shopping for makeup. I spent two long days on my feet in the supermarket cosmetics aisle, but it turned out to be fun, and it gave me a chance to see what’s new in affordable beauty products.

I Bought This

I found Onyx Professional 3 • 2 • 1 Nail Dry!, Professional Salon Formulation, not a new product but new to me. I thought maybe I’d give myself a manicure when I got back to the hotel at 10:00pm, but I was too tired. So it wasn’t till I got home that I tried it.

Wow, where has this product been all my life? One of the things I hate about at-home manicures is waiting around till my nails dry. I just don’t know what to do with myself. I could probably read a book, but I always think of a million other things to do immediately that involve using my hands, lol. l Onyx Professional 3 • 2 • 1 Nail Dry! works faster and better than any polish-style quick dry top coat I have ever used. I did wait a few minutes till my polish dried somewhat. Next, I sprayed the product on each nail, according to the directions on the can. It worked! Dry nails, yay.

Here’s a couple of photos of my mani with essence Colour & Go seafoam polish before the 321 Nail Dry and after the Nail Dry. Though the shine may be not quite as bright in the after, I’ll take it.

I bought Onyx Professional 3 • 2 • 1 Nail Dry! at Fred Meyer, but it is also available at Wal-Mart. The 2.0 oz./57 g size was $1.99. It comes in a larger 8.5 oz. size for about $4.00, but that wasn’t available at FM, plus I had never tried it before. It’s from a U.S. company, but made in China.

Ingredients: Butane, Propane, Alcohol, Panthenol, Cyclopentacyloxane, Tocopherol, Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui Nut) Seed Oil, Parfum

If you are allergic to nuts, you may want to pass on this. If you’re gluten-free, you will need to check on the origin of the tocopherol.

So have you tried this stuff? Any other time-saving nail products I should know about?
