OZ Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5 Serum

I’m a big fan of OZ Naturals, and I recently had a chance to try OZ Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5 Serum. Actually, I had been on the hunt for a serum with retinol and also with hyaluronic acid, so I was thrilled when I heard about the OZ Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5 Serum.

OZ Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5 has an impressive ingredient list. Not only does OZ Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5 Serum have retinol among its key ingredients, but retinol is the third ingredient in the list after water and xanthan gum which is added to skincare products to thicken, add texture and stabilize the emulsion so the ingredients don’t separate. The hero ingredient, retinol at 2.5%, is clinical strength retinol, the highest concentration available without a prescription. In addition to hyaluronic acid that helps attract and maintain moisture within the skin, the serum also contains astaxanthin and Vitamin E, antioxidants that activate collagen and elastin production. Astaxanthin has been shown in dermatological studies to decrease wrinkles, improve elasticity and fade age spots.

The serum comes in a brown glass bottle to protect the efficacy of the ingredients. It arrived in a box and the bottle was sealed. I opened the cap and replaced it with the pump that came along with it.

The serum itself is a light amber color, and is a lightweight serum – not watery but not thick either. Two pumps cover my entire face and neck. It dries quickly upon application.

I apply it twice a day after cleansing. For me, it is my first serum, and I apply another serum over it with different ingredients and benefits. Then I apply my moisturizer. It is important to wear sunscreen during the day when using retinol because it increases the danger of sunburn and sun damage.

Since adding OZ Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5 serum to my regimen about three weeks ago, the moisture level in my skin has improved markedly. I hadn’t been using HA lately, and my skin really missed it. Although I have a couple of other skincare products with retinol in them, the OZ Naturals retinol percentage is higher and, frankly, it is easier to apply this lightweight serum twice a day to get the benefits of retinol.

OZ Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5 is 99.9% natural, and the retinol is 72% organic. It is cruelty-free, and it’s made in the US. No alcohol, parabens or sulfates.

OZ Naturals makes Super Youth retinol moisturizer with similar ingredients to double down on the ingredients. I noticed online that they suggest pairing their Pro-Retaxinol 2.5 serum with OZ Naturals Vitamin C 20% serum that also contains HA, vitamin E and astaxathin for even faster results. Hmmm. I may need to try that one too.

I really like and recommend this serum. Check out the OZ Naturals website for more information.  OZ Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5 serum is affordable, on sale at Amazon for $24.99.  If you’re looking for a retinol serum, definitely look into OZ Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5!

    1. That reason, coupled with the HA & other ingredient in the formula that starts with an A whose name I can never remember are the reason I was so happy to try it. It’s a very good serum

  3. I’ve been using and liking this serum as well. I haven’t been using it daily, for fear of over drying but if you can do it twice a day maybe I should up my usage! I also want to try the Vitamin C serum from OZ. The glycolic peel looks pretty good too… 😉

    1. It’s actually just a pump applicator, but the bottle arrives sealed and you install the pump afterwards. Not sure if that’s necessary, but it kept everything sealed very well in transit. It’s a terrific serum.

  7. WOW! This sounds really interesting, but I wonder how this percentage of retinol would work with my finicky skin. I love that there is a Retinol paired with HA!!!

    1. Gee, I wish I could say, Christine. My skin, I think, is quite different from yours: dry, sensitive, older, but I have no problem using it at all. It’s as if the HA balanced out the potential dryness of the retinol, for me at least!

  8. This serum sounds great, I love that they mixed the retinol with HA. That probably helps minimize the harsh effects of the retinol, and both ingredients are so amazing for the skin!
