In December, Pantone introduced their Color of the Year for 2022: Veri Peri.
Veri Peri is a periwinkle shade derived from blue with a violet-red undertone. According to Pantone, it is the first color that they actually created to tout as the Color of the Year. It is supposed to represent “the expansive opportunities that lie ahead”. I certainly hope they are right!

This is what Veri Peri embodies, according to Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute:
I don’t have a lot of this shade of periwinkle in my wardrobe, only a couple of tops that are really more lavender than periwinkle. But I think it’s a pretty shade. And it’s pretty much the same shade as the beauty jar for Tatcha Dewy Skin Moisturizer.
Before Pantone announced the 2022 Color of the Year, I chose Olive and June’s “Bold & Unshaken” when I placed my last order. O&J calls “Bold & Unshaken” a bold purple, but in person, it is more of a light periwinkle. I love it. I think it’s the perfect shade for spring.
I applied “Bold & Unshaken” toward the end of last week, and it’s still going strong.
Also, I think because I’ve been using O&J’s Nail Strengthener for a couple of months now, I have the longest nails I’ve ever had in the winter including the thumb on my right hand that I damaged three years ago. Hooray! (oops, looks like I forgot to push back my cuticles when I applied the polish in bed, lol).

I actually bought this one too and felt the name did not match the color at all! This is an easter color, not a bold color! In any case, I liked it and wore it this past week! I think my favorite was the first red I got since it was super glossy and looked like gel when I wore it
You’re right, Claudia, Olive & June’s shade is more pastel than Pantone’s Veri Peri swatch, but it’s in the same color family, so what the heck. I didn’t know that you decided to try O&J. I hope you’ve had good results because I know how much you like powder dips. I just noticed when reading your post today that you were wearing the same shade of polish as I am!
