Parodi Daily Moisturizing Hand Cream for Hard Working Hands

I’ve been at Jeff’s for about a week so far helping him after his hip replacement surgery. Now that he can use only one crutch, he’s more self-sufficient but he’s still not quite back to his old self yet. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a dishwasher. I grew up without a dishwasher, and my longtime New York apartment didn’t have a dishwasher. But since moving into my house 16 years ago, I have gotten hooked on the dishwasher. I’ve been handwashing a lot of dishes at Jeff’s, and I also have to wash out his compression socks every night. It seems like my hands are constantly in soap and water these days.

I’m glad that I grabbed a tube of Parodi Daily Moisturizing Hand Cream to take with me to Jeff’s.

I was not familiar with the Parodi brand of professional care products, but I have since found out that the company is a woman-owned business which is always nice to know. Linda Gillette Parodi was a long-time salon professional, so she developed a line of professional care skincare products including hand creams, foot creams and muscle ache products. Parodi Daily Moisturizing Hand Cream was developed for and approved by salon professionals, people whose hands are frequently exposed to water, chemicals, heat, rubber or latex gloves, and other abuses.

Parodi Daily Moisturizing Hand Cream, a rich white cream, certainly does the trick for me: my hands are instantly hydrated after using it. They feel soft and moisturized. The hand cream also gives me some protection when I put them back into soapy water so my hands don’t feel as dry in between times as they did before I started using this particular hand cream.

The hand cream has a very light almost imperceptible scent from natural ingredients like bitter orange flower extract, sweet almond and other natural scents. Importantly, the hand cream is fast or, I should say, immediately absorbed and totally greaseless. It does not contain parabens or silicones.

Parodi & Cie is a Swiss company, but their products are manufactured in the U.S. My plastic tube is the perfect size to fit in my purse or to keep on my crowded night table, 2 oz./60 ml, though they have a large 9.5 oz. pump bottle for those who go through a lot of hand cream. Because the cream is so concentrated, you need only a little bit so that a 2 oz. tube provides about 100 applications! The 2 oz. tube is priced at $18 and the behemoth is $50, both available on the Parodi website where you can check out their foot care and muscle ache products as well as on Amazon and through walmart.com.

I am having great results with the Parodi Daily Moisturizing Hand Cream, but I noticed that they also have Parodi Intensive Moisturizing Hand Cream that sounds great for those with super dry hands. If we have a lot of snow this winter, I may want to try that one too!

    1. Sounds like your husband is a prime candidate for the Parodi Intensive Moisturizing Hand Cream, Christine, if his hands are that dry!

Morning….🙋🏻☕️ I have found wearing rubber gloves for dish washing and cleaning helps. Also my one and only Ulta Repair Cream Intense Therapy in the tub and in the tube has worked wonders for my hands and also my body. It really works………QVC, Sephora and Ulta carries it. Their skin line products are really good too. Have a nice afternoon. 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

    1. I have rubber gloves at home, DiEtta, but I was schlepping so much stuff with me to Jeff’s that I forgot about them. BTW, did you mean Ultra Repair Cream? and is it from First Aid Beauty or is Ultra Repair the brand name? I assume you didn’t mean “Ulta” if Sephora carries it 😉

      1. DiEtta says:

Yes…… I meant Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty. (Note to self, PROOF READ before sending!)😱 Thanks Allison………Grandma is getting old!

        1. LOL, DiEtta! I thought that’s what you meant xo

  4. Wishing Jeff a very speedy recovery! This hand cream definitely sounds like a great pick to keep frequently washed hands, and dry hands in general, nicely moisturized!

    1. Thank you, Helen, for your good wishes for Jeff. He’s really coming along well in his recovery. Parodi Hand Cream was an amazing surprise – a tiny amount works so well and does last through hand washing. Good stuff!

  5. Michelle Tamasa says:

Sounds great for my hair dresser mom! All that shampooing really dries her hands out.

    1. Absolutely! Since the CEO and developer was a hair stylist too, she really knows that she’s talking about here. I’ll bet the Intensive Moisturizing Hand Cream is a winner too.

  6. Heal fast, Jeff! As for this hand cream, I do have dry hands because I wash my hands and sanitize in between patients so that’s really taking a toll on my hands. Sounds like this a great product to consider

    1. Thank you, Kathryne, for your good wishes for Jeff’s recovery. He’s doing amazingly well and is ahead of schedule. The Parodi hand cream is really incredible. Though developed for salon professionals, I think it would be great for medical professionals as well. I love it!

  7. I haven’t heard of this brand and my hands take a real beating in the winter, so I will definitely be purchasing this.

  9. I am really impressed that it lasts between hand washing. I’m in the bathroom often and don’t want to have to reapply constantly so this sounds especially nice. And I like that the scent isn’t overpowering.

    1. According to the owner, Parodi Daily Moisturizing Hand Cream lasts through 4 hand washings! I can attest that it lasts through at least a couple. The scent is almost non-existent. I think you’d like this one, Marcia!

  10. I haven’t heard of this brand, but I would love to have a lotion that doesn’t come off after bathroom use (I re-apply after using the restroom). Great review!

    1. Supposedly Parodi Daily Moisturizing Hand Cream lasts through 4 hand washings! I am not in the bathroom that much, but I can attest that it lasts through at least a couple. This lotion is good stuff. You only need to use a tiny amount. Good hand cream for nail bloggers 😉

    1. I wasn’t familiar with it either, but I am more than impressed with it. Supposedly it lasts through 4 hand washings, and I can attest that it last through at least a couple (I don’t wash my hands that much)

  16. My cuticles get so dry during the winter! I think the intense version would be perfect for my hands.

    1. It truly takes on a small pea sized blob to get great coverage. I’d like to try the Intense just to compare the two formulas, but I’m surprised at how hydrating the Daily Moisturizing version is.

  17. Anne C says:

I have never heard of Parodi before but I’m interested in their Intensive Moisturizing Hand Cream. My hands look 5 years older than my face and I am always buying hand creams. I never stick too long with one brand since I feel that the all hand creams lose their effectiveness for me if used for long periods. Do you have any more recommendations for hand creams?

    1. I wish that Parodi had sent me both the Daily Moisturizing and the Intensive Moisturizing Hand Creams so I could have compared them, Anne. For normal dryness, the Daily Moisturizing is terrific, but if you suffer from severe dryness it may be worth it to try the Intensive. It’s amazing how little of the Daily you need to apply and it does last through a couple of hand washings for me (Parodi says through 4). I’m impressed with Parodi based on this one product.

Like you, I wish I had taken care of my hands sooner by using a hand cream with SPF, like Supergoop, that I use during the daytime in the warm weather to prevent further sun damage.

For serious dryness, I still like Neutrogena’s fragrance-free hand cream, but I’m sure you’ve already used that one. Years ago, Georgette Klinger used to have a fabulous hand cream but I don’t know if they have one yet since they relaunched the brand a few months ago. I use both Farmhouse Fresh natural or organic hand creams and Dionis hand cream, but they are more for regular dryness than for serious anti-aging. Jan Marini has an anti-aging hand cream but I have not tried it myself, and their products are quite pricey.

What else have you tried, Anne? It sounds like you’ve been through everything.

  18. I don’t have a dishwasher either plus I wash dishes at work so my hands are always in water. They get really cracked and dry in the winter and it’s horrible! I need a good hand cream.

    1. I definitely feel your pain. Washing dishes for a family every day is a big deal plus at work too, yikes!

  19. This sounds really great! I find I avoid hand cream throughout the day because I don’t like anything with a residue, so this could be perfect for me.

    1. Parodi Daily Moisturizing Hand Cream is completely greaseless, so good for daytime (and nighttime) use!

  20. I don’t recall hearing about this brand before. I am always on the hunt for a great hand cream since my skin gets so dry for winter months. I’ll check it out, especially since it’s lightly scented.
Honeygirlk recently posted…Natural Highlights For Winter Fun With SunInMy Profile

    1. Parodi was new to me too, Honey. I really like the Daily Moisturizing Hand Cream because the scent is almost imperceptible, you need only a pea’s worth, it’s totally greaseless, it really softens, and it stays on me through at least a hand washing or two (they say 4 but I don’t wash my hands that many times a day to see if it does!). Worth a look!
