Paul & Joe Beaute, Perfect for Spring Dreaming

As you think about Valentine’s Day gift or dream about spring, I’d like to share some new limited edition products from the Paul & Joe Beauté Spring Collection that launch today! I reviewed some of their adorable makeups last spring. I was so happy to see these new ones to add to my collection.

Here’s a little background on the brand: “Named after founder Sophie Albou’s two sons, Paul & Joe was founded as a menswear label in the 1990s. Fresh feminine styling and vintage-inspired ditsy prints have since followed across a womenswear collection of silk dresses, ankle-grazing cigarette pants, shirts and cosmetics.” The makeup I own from Paul & Joe has cute retro designs on them or pretty floral prints.

Paul & Joe Beauté makeup has a distinctive scent that I absolutely love. It’s a powdery sweet scent that I can’t get enough of. Their pressed powder (reviewed here) is my favorite because of that scent and also the lovely translucent finish. The two new products that I received, Pearl Foundation Primer and Powder Blush Compact, both have the scent that’s an absolute delight to me!

Pearl Foundation Primer Sweet Bon Bons 002

The Pearl Foundation Primer is just the thing to both display on my vanity and to incorporate into my makeup routine especially during these dull grey days in New England where my skin has taken on the same grey dullness as the sky.

And just look at those cute shades of peachy pink (my favorite colors) balls suspended in the primer called Sweet Bon Bons 002. This lightweight primer comes in a handy pump bottle.

The primer gives me just the right amount of luminous glow without looking like a disco ball.

And it’s loaded with healthy, moisturizing ingredients: Orange Flower Water, Lilium Candidum Bulb Extract, Apricot Juice, Jojoba Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid. You know how much I love HA!

Powder Blush Compact

The Compact and the Powder Blush actually come in two pieces. I just popped the Powder Blush refill into the empty floral compact, and I’m ready to go.

The adorable compact is made of ultra-sturdy cardboard. It measure 2 x 2 inches and is so easy to carry around. It also comes in two other limited edition patterns. I love the floral one I got!

The Powder Blush I received is called Mon Lapin (my rabbit), and it is also available in Mon Canard (my duck). Mon Lapin contains a very pigmented raspberry blush and rose gold that can be worn as blush or highlighter. For me, applying them with a fan brush sets down just enough color without overdoing it. They feel as smooth as silk on my skin, just like the pressed powder compact that I have from last spring does. And the blush also has the wonderful scent I love.

Paul & Joe Beauté makeup is made in Japan. It is sold on the Paul & Joe website as well as on b-glowing.com and Beauty Bay among other retailers. The empty compact is priced at $10. The Pearl Foundation Primer retails at $36 and the Powder Blush at $18. I think they would make brilliant Vday gifts!

How pretty! Absolutely a hit for on the vanity with the pretty products, 🙂 .I think I’m off of illuminating products fro a while,I had a disaster this morning when I used one of my better quality illuminating liquid highlighters.I thought I looked fine in the bathroom but when I checked it in the window for natural light,YIKES,it was not flattering at all,This gal is better off with a matte finish and any dewiness can come from my foundation.I saw pores I never knew were there, lol.

    1. That is so funny, Laura, that it happened just this morning! It’s a cautionary tale! I better take a look at myself in the natural light after I use this adorable primer next time. But I think so far so good. I’m lucky at least one way with my dry skin, I don’t have to worry too much about my pores.

    1. I agree – the packaging is so creative! The deep raspberry blush is very bright, and though a beautiful shade, I think it would look great on someone with deeper skin tone. Instead, I find myself using the rose gold/peach as a blush especially at night. It’s so pretty.
