Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Moisturizer: Perfect Warm Weather Moisturizer

I was a big fan of Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Serum (reviewed here), so I was very happy to get my hands on Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Moisturizer.

As I mentioned when I reviewed the serum a couple of years ago, omega fatty acids are not only good for your eyes and your cardiovascular system, but they’re good for your skin even when applied topically. Omega fatty acids 3,6 and 9 act as antioxidants protecting your skin from environmental stressors. Now that the weather is getting better (although rain is in the forecast here for 11 of the next 14 days, boo), we can be outdoors more, and our skin is subject to pollution and the sun’s rays. That’s where Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex products come in.

You can do double duty by loading up with both the Omega+ Complex Serum and Moisturizer. Or you can use them one at a time. You can check out the serum with the link I provided above. Now I’d like to fill you in on the new Omega+ Complex Moisturizer that I’ve been using for about the past month.

Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Moisturizer comes in an airless heavy plastic pump bottle. The pump pumps out ribbons of lightweight, white gel-cream. Although the moisturizer isn’t heavy, it is hydrating. It dries to a matte finish, so it’s easy to wear under foundation since it virtually disappears!

The gel-cream contains chia and flaxseed, the sources of the omega fatty acids that help strengthen skin’s moisture barrier. It also contains about a million other soothing, plumping  and brightening natural oils like Passion Fruit, Guava and Olive oil, shea butter as well as ceramides. See the end of this section for the complete ingredient list.

Naturally restore dehydrated skin’s glow with this cloud-like cream’s blend of superfood omega fatty acids, replenishing ceramides and antioxidants.

  • Omegas 3, 6 & 9 strengthen moisture barrier
  • Passion fruit & guava extracts soothe stressed skin
  • Lightweight, whipped texture locks in hydration

I had intended to include a giveaway for a different skincare product from Paula’s Choice in today’s post after the review of the Omega+ Complex Moisturizer, but I managed to screw up the Rafflecopter widget. And it’s too late at night to figure out what went wrong. I’ll give it another try tomorrow, and hopefully the Paula’s Choice giveaway will be live on Tuesday. Stay tuned! But in the meantime, my Mystery Makeup Bag Giveaway has one more day. If you haven’t entered yet, please do!

    1. Actually, it’s not quite rich enough for my dry skin in winter, but it’s going to be excellent if the warm weather ever gets here! 😉

  13. That might be a bit too rich for me in the summer, but a plain serum would work!

My skin is combination to oily so I’m not sure this would work well for me. That said, I may have to keep this in mind and try it out during the winter as my skin is generally less oily then so it would probably work best for me then.

    1. The good thing about Paula’s Choice is they have so many great skincare products for different skin types. The Omega+ Complex Moisturizer isn’t super rich, but it may be more than you need. They have a zillion others 🙂
