Perfect for Winter Dry Skin: PCA Skin Creamy Cleanser

PR Sample, Affiliate Links

I went shopping in my stash recently, and I found an unopened bottle of PCA Skin Creamy Cleanser. How did I miss that all these months? PCA Skin is a fantastic, high-end, research-oriented skincare brand. Their Revitalizing Eye Gel is my all-time favorite. So, I immediately added Creamy Cleanser to my rotation.

In winter, I love using cream cleansers, and PCA Skin Creamy Cleanser really fits the bill. It is a rich, white cream that doesn’t seem to lather for me, though PCA Skin says it does.  Hmm, perhaps I’m using too much because they say to use a dime-size amount. I find it so luxurious that I definitely use more than that, lol. I use my FOREO Luna to clean my face with it, and then rinse with lukewarm water. It is so hydrating and delightful.

It also cleanses dirt and debris and it even removes makeup (what makeup, I say?). Plus, it has anti-aging benefits: it helps firm, strengthen, protect, soothe, and hydrate. It is the perfect cleanser for dry, very dry, mature, and/or sensitive skin.

The key ingredients in PCA Skin Creamy Cleanser are:

Rose hip seed oil – strengthens skin, leaving it smoother and firmer.

Sunflower seed oil – high in essential fatty acids, this ingredient provides antioxidants to the skin.

Lilac leaf cell culture extract – an antioxidant derived from the stem cells of the lilac plant.

Aloe vera leaf juice – a calming agent known for its softening and soothing benefits.

One of my favorite things about Creamy Cleanser is that it smells like lavender since one of the ingredients is lavender oil. It’s heavenly. I think that’s another reason why I use so much. I adore the scent! Plus, lavender is so relaxing that it is perfect for use before bedtime.

PCA Skin Creamy Cleanser comes in a tall, slim plastic bottle that holds 7 fl. oz. My only nitpicking thing is the top. It has one of those tops that you push down on and the other side of the cap opens and reveals a small hole. Then you squeeze the bottle or hold it upside down to get the contents out. I absolutely hate it because the rich cream is so difficult to get out of that little hole. So I took the pump applicator out of my bottle of Nature Island Botanicals Body Butter and swapped it with the top of the Creamy Cleanser bottle. Now it works great!

I need to email PCA Skin and ask them to change to a pump! The only issue I had for about a week was that some of the Caribbean Escape tropical coconut body butter remained in the pump tubing and overwhelmed the lovely lavender scent of the cleanser. Finally, Caribbean Escape has been replaced by lavender again. Yay.

PCA Skin Creamy Cleanser is priced at $33, and it is sold on the PCA Skin website (where you can get 15% off your first purchase) as well as at the following authorized dealers (there are lots of unauthorized dealers selling it, so beware):

  • Amazon.com
  • Beautifiedyou.com
  • Beautystoredepot.com
  • Dermstore.com
  • Dermwarehouse.com
  • Exclusivebeautyclub.com
  • Edcskincare.com

  • Shoptheskinboutique.com
  • Skin1.com
  • Skincarerx.com
  • Skinstore.com

  • Totalskincare.com

Dermstore, LookFantistic, LovelySkin, and Skinstore have frequent 20% off sales, and occasionally 30% off sales so I tend to do my PCA Skin shopping on those sites when they have a discount. I love this brand, and I think it is well worth trying if you have dry and/or mature skin.

  1. This sounds like a nice cleanser from a really underrated brand. I tend to prefer cleansers that lather for my skin, but this definitely sounds like a high quality cleanser!

    1. I think not enough people know about PCA Skin. Sephora used to carry the brand, but they no longer do. I think the company needs to do more advertising or something. Regarding the lather, I don’t know why it isn’t lathering for me since the brand says it does. I think I may be using too much? Who knows? I think this cleanser is more suited to those of us with dry skin.
